Responding to the British Foreign Secretary’s confirmation that the last British resident to be detained in Guantanamo Bay, Shaker Aamer, is en route to the UK –
Cori Crider, Shaker’s US attorney and Strategic Director at Reprieve, said: “We are, of course, delighted that Shaker is on his way back to his home and his family here in the UK. It is long, long past time. Shaker now needs to see a doctor, and then get to spend time alone with his family as soon as possible.”

Crowds flock to see the body of Abu Qasim (Image via Hassan Raza)
Thousands of people turned out today in Indian Administered Kashmir for the funeral of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) commander Abdul Rehman (Abu Qasim) from Bahawalpur city, Pakistan who was killed during a shoot-out with Indian security forces. There were protests on the streets with stones thrown, scuffles breaking out and teargas used to control the crowds. This comes just days after Black Day (27th October) in which much of Kashmir closes down to remember the year of Partition. On the same date in 1947, Indian troops entered Jammu and Kashmir and commenced decades of occupation accused of denying locals their rights. The military is alleged to have participated in ongoing human rights abuses which saw people disappeared, tortured and killed. To Indian authorities Rehman (age 30) is a “terrorist”, to many Kashmiris he is a “shaheed” (martyr) who fought for their rights and independence from India. Some Kashmiris want to join with Pakistan others aim for complete independence.
Syed Javaid Mujtaba Gillani, the chief of police in IAK said “Abu Qasim was the most-wanted militant in Kashmir, which India and Pakistan claim in full but rule in part” As Express Tribune reported Gillani called the operation a “major success”. He claimed Mr. Rehman’s killing was a “major setback” for the organization (LeT) in Kashmir. However as militants are often keen to point out, drone strikes in neighbouring Afghanistan and Pakistan have shown that jihadi movements are greater than any one personality and deaths of key figures are anticipated and planned for as part of their overall strategies.

According to Benar News Rehman was killed in the vicinity of Khandaypora, a village near Kulgam town after a tip-off was received. The militant commander who was said to have a bounty on his head of 20 lacs was alleged to have carried out a number of attacks against Indian security forces in the Kashmir Valley in recent years including an attack on an army bus in 2013 which left 8 soldiers dead. His name was synonymous with LeT who are accused of involvement in the attack on Mumbai in 2008 during which 160 people were killed. According to NDTV, Rehman was also
“involved in the killing of Altaf Ahmad, one of the best counter-terrorism police officers in Jammu and Kashmir, earlier this month in a gunbattle in Bandipore district. Police say Mr Ahmad, along with two colleagues, was on a covert mission in the district to track down Qasim.”
Hafiz Talha Saeed, Lecturer and Researcher, highlighted the size of the crowds that turned out for the funeral saying, “if Jihad e Kashmir is terrorism, how would you define this extreme glorious love for its Mujahid by Kashmiris?”
Syed Ali Geelani, APHC Chairman, Chairman Tehreek-e-Hurriyat tweeted,

“Situation is grim these days…there is a sense of fear in every nook and corner…u cant move out of ur home after 7pm… u fear of being beaten or killed by the Indian forces…this is nothing….the situation has worsened…. u are sometimes afraid of wearing ur traditional dress…the reason is obvious…there are marks of torture on everybody and there is a victim in every house… there r half-widows and there are homes without people…u will hear cries and moans of the mothers who have lost their kids…u will see revenge on every teenager’s face…u will see the women and teenagers fighting together with the forces on the roads…u will see the elders carrying the coffin of children…u will see the outburst and hear the slogans…u will see the engineering graduates, doctors, scholars taking arms to fight for all the injustice…. and u will see media barking against them and favouring atrocities…there are many things to tell, many stories to be told, many incidents and many marks to show…there are scars, there is a pain, there is anguish….This is paradise for u….This is Kashmir for u…This is the region of unending miseries for u….”

Just days after a hospital in the northern province of Saada, Yemen was bombed by Saudi Arabia-led coalition forces, a Yemeni journalist raises concerns that KSA may be using prohibited weapons and doctors are struggling to cope with the injured.
Nasser Arrabyee a Yemeni Journalist and Film-maker (Yemen Alaan, meaning Yemen Now) based in Sanaa posted a series of photos showing a man looking visibly distressed with large, open and suppurating wounds to his body. Limbs appeared swollen and starting to blacken. Khalid Tahami is allegedly a victim of cluster bombs and the doctors are unsure how to treat.
A cluster bomb releases a number of projectiles on impact which can cover an area of 2 to 3 football fields and any unexploded bomblets can later be accidently activated on contact like a landmine. Handicap International UK warns of the dangers of cluster bombs on their website, claiming,
“they cannot differentiate between military personnel and civilians. A single cluster bomb can scatter hundreds of submunitions over an area as big as several football pitches. When these submunitions explode, they blast out hundreds of metal fragments, killing or severely injuring anyone in the area – military or civilian”.
The organization also gives details regarding the Convention on Cluster Munitions which is “an international law banning the use, stockpiling, production and transfer of cluster munitions” see link,
To understand how cluster bombs work view the following video link, “Cluster bombs: Hell from above”
Bryan Schatz writing in Mother Jones in June highlights that US cluster bombs banned by 100 countries are being used in Yemen. He states,
“of the three types of cluster munitions identified recently in Yemen, two were manufactured in the United States and supplied by the US government”.
“By law, the US government can can only sell or supply cluster munitions with a one percent failure rate, and they are to be used only on specific military targets where civilians are not present. But HRW found that the Saudi cluster munitions attacks in Yemen occurred near populated areas, such as the village of al-Amar on its busy market day”.
See following link for background to the ban on cluster bombs and how they ended up in Yemen
As medical supplies run low in some areas, it is unclear if there is access to pain relief or antibiotics for Khalid, if unavailable this could result in serious infection threatening the lives of patients. Arrabyee tweeted, “Yemeni doctors in Sanaa can not treat Khaled Ali and others injured by internationally prohibited weapons” which he views as Saudi crimes. He said, “Yemeni doctors are appealing to experts of the world to help those injured by cluster bombs” and asked, “WHO CAN HELP ?”
Handicap International UK provides the following information on how cluster bombs affect those targeted, they write,
“innocent people lose lives and limbs through cluster bombs every day. 98 percent of the recorded victims of cluster munitions are civilians.
The fragments of exploding submunitions travel at high velocity. When they strike they set off pressure waves within the body, which do horrific damage to soft tissue and organs. Even a single fragment can rupture a person’s spleen, or cause the intestines to explode.
If a victim survives the accident, they are often left with serious injuries. They may lose arms, legs, hands, or feet in the accident, leading to lifelong disability. They may also suffer multiple puncture wounds, ruptured eardrums, and blindness.”
As a weapon designed to terrorise, accidents leave victims and their families battling with psychological trauma as well as their injuries. Victims can experience a loss of identity and and may find it difficult to take part in community life, or access the services they need. They may even experience discrimination on the basis of their disability”.
It appears what is needed now is specialist help, doctors with experience in this field to support and guide. Arrabyee told me, “doctors say, they do not understand why Khaled’s skin and bones keep lacerating continuously.” Reuters reported, “the United Nations and aid groups have expressed alarm at a worsening humanitarian crisis in Yemen, which even before the war struggled with widespread poverty and hunger. They say civilian targets, including markets, factories, houses, schools and hospitals, have been bombed”.

Breaking News
As I am writing this article, the news comes in of a bombing on a bus which has killed 23 employees at Taiz according to Arrabyee who tweeted photos of the aftermath. He said, the attack had happened a few hours ago, stating, “Saudi war criminals keep killing every minute. They are bombing all over Yemen villages, cities, etc!” It is unclear if cluster bombs were used in the bus attack.
Arrabyee tweeted, “this is Ahmed Sharaf Addeen, Yemeni in Sanaa, looking at his house after he and all family miraculously survived.”
As well as bombs there had been reports in recent days of difficulties in accessing some Houthi-controlled areas in Taiz province. Karline Kleijer, Medecin San Frontier’s emergency manager for Yemen stated,
“the hospitals in this besieged area are seeing large number of patients with war wounds and yet we have been prevented from delivering essential medical supplies – including chest tubes, anaesthetic drugs, IV fluid, sutures and antibiotics – to help staff provide lifesaving surgery.”
“It is very frustrating that, after weeks of negotiations, we have made no progress in convincing officials of the need to provide impartial medical assistance to the victims of the ongoing fighting within this enclave, despite the continued support we are providing to health facilities in Houthi-controlled areas.”
Christian Beck posted a photo of a lorry on Instagram which read,
“MSF convoy filled with medical supplies crossing the front lines in Damt district between Aden and Taiz governorates. MSF is trying to deliver essential medical supplies into a besieged area of Yemen’s Taiz province. 22 October 2015″
Ashli Hibbitt International Red Cross UK, tweeted,
Only 6 hospitals operating in Taiz & medicalsupplies blocked. This crisis goes way beyond the fighting #Yemen
Bombing of a hospital in Saada
Human rights organizations condemned the recent bombing of a Saada hospital highlighting that staff had given GPS coordinates for the health facility which was clearly marked as a Medecins Sans Frontier hospital yet was repeatedly hit. There were no deaths on this occasion but there were injuries from flying debris and the building was reported to have sustained around 90% damage. This comes only weeks after an MSF hospital was bombed in the city of Kunduz, Afghanistan. See,
“Kunduz hospital had complained of threats from Afghan Special Forces in July, a full and independent investigation into bombing is essential”
Philip Luther, Director for the Middle East and North Africa at Amnesty International condemned the attack calling for an “independent investigation into why hospitals and their patients are being targeted, rather than protected, as international humanitarian law requires”. He said, “the attack on Haydan Hospital appears to have been an unlawful attack causing harm to civilians and civilian objects. The consecutive airstrikes show deliberate targeting of the medical facility – this is another sad day for civilians.”
Full story can be read here,
“Yemen: Another MSF hospital bombed, international rules of war ignored again?”
The picture in Yemen is grim with little hope of swift relief from the ongoing war. Analyst Farea al-Muslimi told Reuters, “the conflict is totally deadlocked. There’s no political solution around the corner and both sides are settling scores with each other with impunity as civilians are stuck in the middle.”

Ashraf Ghani crowned as an ‘intellect’ by the westerners, has said and done many things which seem quite thoughtless and inconsiderate. He has yet to perform an action that truly might warrant the title of a second coming of an intellect, contrarily many of his actions chronicled in various stages of his life testify against his intellectual capabilities, proving his complete ignorance and incompetency.
On the 10th of the ongoing month of Muharram ul Haram during the occasion of the martyrdom of the grandson, Hussain may Allah be pleased with him, of the Prophet Muhammad peace and blessings be upon him , the intellect made an assertion which can only be fathomed as copying pages straight out of the bible.
The intellect reading out from a carefully crafted piece of paper during a gathering described Hussain may Allah be pleased with him as the grandson of the Almighty Allah!!? What is even more astonishing is that the intellect failed to even pause and think for a moment about this open error, an explicit error which cannot be made by even a half-learnt Muslim however the intellect waving his doctorate left and right became a perpetrator of this ginormous mistake.
The chief reason behind such enormous errors and other mistakes by the intellect seems to be his lack of familiarity with religious teachings, especially with Islamic creed which is essential learning for every Muslim. Another plausible cause also seems to be the influence of his in-laws, a family of Catholics who believe in trinity of God in direct conflict with the creed of monotheism.
A systematic campaign of ridiculing Islamic sacrosanct, rituals, religious terminologies and concepts was launched simultaneously by the crusaders with the invasion of Afghanistan. This campaign of deviation has been ongoing and expanding at the hands of numerous circles and individuals in varying forms however a formidable front was opened against Islam and Islamic principles upon the instatement of the intellect in Arg (Presidential Palace). This front executed so many projects in a short period of time which would previously have taken years to unfold, for example: The Kabul based Express newspaper published material ridiculing the monotheism of Allah the Exalted and the Prophethood of Muhammad (peace and blessing be upon him), the wife of the intellect, Laura Ghani, supported the ban on hijab in France, his National Security Advisor, Hanif Atmar, labeled religious seminaries as breeding grounds of terrorism and called for their closure while keyboard warrior and campaigner of the intellect called the architect of Facebook more just than the creator of the universe (Allah the Exalted), we seek refuge with Allah from such.
The intellect, as a Muslim, seems to be very oblivious of the basic principles of monotheism as stated in the Holy Book (Quran) of the believing Muslims especially Surah Ikhlas (Purity) which is known by the entire Afghan nation be they young or old, male or female, with this verse “He begetteth not nor was begotten” being recited by the tongues multiple times daily.

A powerful earthquake struck multiple points throughout the country yesterday, the aftershocks of which were felt in Pakistan and even as far as India, killing and wounding hundreds and causing heavy financial losses in its wake. According to reports around 50 people have lost their lives in this tragic incident and more than 200 others have been injured, may Allah forgive the killed, heal the injured and bestow immense patience on their heirs. The Mujahideen of Islamic Emirate will not hold back from lending help to all those affected by the earthquake, Allah willing.
May the All-Capable and Transcendent Lord Almighty safeguard all his believing servants from all worldly and heavenly torments and may Almighty Allah enable us to take heed from such events.
Estimates indicate that over the past century between thirteen to fourteen hundred thousand people have lost their lives due to earthquakes throughout the planet.
The reality is that even today many analysts and so-called experts will be analyzing such worldly and heavenly afflictions within the capacity of their own minds, searching for its causes and reasons but will be unconsciously look over its root cause, meaning that such sudden or expected worldly and heavenly afflictions are a warning from Allah Almighty for His slaves due to their disobedience. When clear misguidance appears in the actions of slaves then Allah Almighty warns them as admonishment (وَ مَا نُرْسِلُ بِالْآيَاتِ إِلَّا تَخْوِيفًا) “And We sent not the signs except to warn, and to make them afraid (of destruction).” and inflicts them with punishment they thought about not. And when the punishment of Allah descends that it does not distinguish between the pious and evil, young and old, male and female rather it affects everyone however this should be taken as punishment for the infidel but a lesson and admonition for the believer.
Deviation and departure from the straight path is either due to committing forbidden acts; like how the large number our countrymen especially city dwellers are perpetrating grave sins due to the encouragement of the infidels and their cronies, or is due to forsaking obligatory acts of worship; like they individual obligatory duty of Jihad. The number of warnings which have been told about due to the abandonment of Jihad cannot be found for many other acts.
Unfortunately many of our Muslim brothers are knee-deep in both such offences and all of us are witnesses to them. How much immorality is being committed openly and how many have abandoned Jihad and other obligatory religious duties? rather how many have even come to deny this obligation, and we seek refuge in Allah. If today Jihad has not become an individual obligation upon every person in our country then when it become obligatory…?
Anyhow earthquakes and other afflictions are great trials from Allah Almighty. It is the duty of every believer to repent to Allah Almighty from their mistakes and to hold firmly onto His sacred religion. Everyone must abandon sins which have been forbidden by the Lord Almighty and must begin implementing every action which has been ordered by Him so that it becomes a cause for our salvation in this world and the next.

MSF hospital Yemen largely destroyed (Image tweeted by MSF)
Medecins Sans Frontier (MSF) tweeted that once again one of their health facilities had been targeted in an aerial bombing, this time in the northern province of Saada, Yemen. There were no deaths from the Saudi Arabia led coalition airstrike though MSF reported 2 staff suffered injuries due to flying debris. Natalie Roberts who was MSF’s emergency coordinator for the area last summer told the Guardian, “she had heard there were up to six airstrikes in 90 minutes on the hospital, the first at 10.30pm and the last at about midnight”. The centre was severely damaged which is a major blow to trauma services in the region as it is the only centre providing such care to a population of 200,000. A photograph released by MSF showed the building was clearly marked on the roof with a sign indicating it was a hospital and according to international rules of war, a functioning hospital should not be targeted. Middle East Eye reported the following from Miriam Czech, MSF project coordinator in Sa’ada,
“I was not able to go inside as we believed there were remaining bombs that have not been exploded but I can confirm that the facility is 99% destroyed. The emergency room was destroyed, the OPD, the IPD the lap and the maternity was destroyed. There was functioning OT but that was also destroyed.”

Gregory Johnson author of “The Last Refuge: Yemen, al-Qaeda, and America’s War in Arabia” stated, “very sad to hear about the MSF hospital being bombed by Saudi in Yemen – a war so few seem to care about. I hope the bombing of the Doctors without Borders hospital in Yemen wasn’t done with US intel. MSF country director Hassan Boucenine told Reuters,
“it could be a mistake, but the fact of the matter is it’s a war crime. There’s no reason to target a hospital. We provided [the coalition] with all of our GPS coordinates about two weeks ago,” he said.
Matthieu Aitkin, Schell Fellow at the Nation Institute said, “awful to hear that Saudis attacked an MSF clinic in Saada. When we visited in June, we found indiscriminate bombing. HRW had a comprehensive report on Saudi airstrikes, including use of cluster bombs. Calls them potential war crimes. (see “Links” section for 2 reports) In Yemen, I was told by humanitarian officials that they coordinated their movements with US officers embedded in Saudi command center. We stayed at MSF hospital in Saada in June. Only “safe” place in the city. Constant stream of civilian casualties “.
The latest attack comes only weeks after the MSF main hospital for Kunduz city and the region was bombed by the US viewed by many human rights activists as an alleged “war crime” see,
Philip Luther, Director for the Middle East and North Africa at Amnesty International condemned the attack calling for an “independent investigation into why hospitals and their patients are being targeted, rather than protected, as international humanitarian law requires”. He stated,
“the attack on Haydan Hospital appears to have been an unlawful attack causing harm to civilians and civilian objects. The consecutive airstrikes show deliberate targeting of the medical facility – this is another sad day for civilians.”
Luther also pointed out,
“according to the hospital’s director Dr Ali al-Mughli, the hospital is now completely destroyed with the exception of the storage rooms. He said that while the hospital often receives injured fighters, there was no military activity in the hospital at the time of the attack.”
Yemeni activists have raised concerns that the international community is ignoring airstrikes on civilians and only seems to have noticed now a hospital has been hit and that homes and a school have been targeted recently.
Hisham al-Omeisy, a Yemeni Political & Information Analyst based in Sana’a has the final word, he tweeted
Dr from Haidan Sa’ada: “Hospital destroyed was last in district & served 7 others..$%&*!..gotta go, airstrikes resumed.” Speechless! #Yemen

Today (Tuesday 27th October 2015) at around 07:30 am local time, Amir ul Mumineen Mullah Akhtar Muhammad Mansur (HA) gave a speech to Mujahideen throughout the country via a communication radio.
He begins his speech with praising Allah followed by passing his Salams to the Mujahideen and congratulates them on the latest victories.
The respected Mansur Sahib then prays for the victory of Mujahideen and asks Allah to reward them for their troubles and also prays for the souls of the martyrs and shows his sympathy with all those affected by this war all the while asking for Allah to reward them abundantly.
The respected Amir ul Mumineen calls Mujahideen towards having good conduct with the people. He says: “This is a valiant, Mujahid and pious nation who have sacrificed immensely for their religion. This nation has rights over you and us and in reality all of our victories are due to the support of this Mujahid nation. We must show deep respect to the elders, advanced aged, scholars and eminent personalities, must always thank them and ask them for advice.”
The esteemed Amir ul Mumineen Mullah Akhtar Muhammad Mansur Sahib calls on the Mujahideen avoid harming all public facilities like dams, religious seminaries, schools, bridges, clinics and other such buildings rather they should exert efforts for their protection. Every place which is beneficial for the nation should be protected and every person that wants to tarnish the image of Mujahideen with such harmful actions should be stopped.
Mr. Mansur Sahib asks the Mujahideen to continue their victorious operations. He says that the enemy is nervous, its ranks disjointed and has lost all morale and belief in itself. The Mujahideen should utilize these moments to deliver heavy blows to the enemy in order to achieve further victories in the Jihadi fields and wrestle free our country from the menace of occupation and corruption.
He especially cautioned Mujahid leaders such as commanders, sub-group commanders and group leaders to give immediate attention to the actions of fighters and junior Mujahideen. They must focus on their daily activities and worship, conduct with the people and their ethics so that they can continue their Jihad in the framework of sublime Shariah law.
The respected leader of Islamic Emirate ends his speech by assuring Mujahideen about the unity in the ranks of Islamic Emirate and thanks Almighty Allah for keeping the ranks of Islamic Emirate united. He adds that enemy propaganda in this regards is baseless, all praise belong to Allah, the Islamic Emirate is united and efforts are underway to further solidify its ranks.
In the end the leader of Islamic Emirate prays for the Mujahideen and asks for prayers in return.

Dehumanizing Palestinians… she was shouting while shooting at her :”I dont have a knife, I dont have a knife”, those were her last words,
Another execution today of an innocent defenseless helpless Palestinian girl, her name is Dania Rashid 16 years old from Hebron city, she was trying to cross the Zionist occupation military checkpoint at the entrance of the Ibrahimi Mosque area, while she was approaching the checkpoint fascist soldiers opened fire at her and shot her 7 times, she was a bit far from them, they could arrest her or even shot her feet to cripple her if she was “suspected” even she has nothing in hand, but again and again and again they meant to kill, just like that, 58 Palestinians were executed during the past 24 days including 11 children just because of who they are, just because they are Palestinians, 25 October 2015.
Unbearable, intolerable,
Raed Saket Jaradat from Sa’ir town, near Hebron, who was executed today morning at the southern part of Hebron city by fascist Zionist occupation forces in freezing blood not just cold..Every day we the Palestinians have to farewell a beloved one, usually a child or youth, generally saying young, every day one or two or three or ten of our beloved ones are executed by the fascist Zionist occupation soldiers, females and males, defenseless, helpless citizens get killed in cold blood just because they are Palestinians, and the most tragic things is that the International community is silent, the UN is silent, the Security Council is silent, human conscience is I don’t know, sleeping, dead, in coma, unbearable, intolerable, 26 October 2015.
World’s silence kills us,
Two more young Palestinian citizens were executed by the fascist Zionist occupation forces during the past three hours Sa’ad Al Atrash 20 years old from Hebron city and Eyad Jaradat 19 years old from Sa’ir town (the second for today)…The first two pics are Sa’ads and the second two pics Eyad’s…Have nothing more to add, speechless, 26 October 2015.
