Islamic State (IS) have claimed responsibility for an attack on the Pakistani army. As account associated with Wilayat Khorasan tweeted,

IS claims attacks on #Pakistani apostate army, leaving 13 apostates killed.

This could not be independently verified.

IS have been active in the Afghanistan/ Pakistan region for over a year. This week has seen both positive and negative news for the group. Firstly they released photographs of the “graduation” of their first group of fighters in Waziristan, see following link,

Secondly 16 IS fighters were allegedly killed in a US drone strike in Nangarhar border area of Afghanistan, Dawn reported,

“security sources said the first drone targeted a militant compound in the Nazyan district of Nangarhar province, killing six suspected militants and completely destroying their compound.

The sources added that all the six ‘militants’ belonged to the self-styled Islamic State (IS) group in Afghanistan.

Later in the day, a drone targeted a hideout in Bandar area of Nangarhar. Security sources said the drone fired two missiles, killing 10 suspected militants, all of whom they said belonged to the IS.”

A graphic new video has allegedly been released by Islamic State (IS) where a captured Syrian Arab Army (SAA) soldier from Jazal Homs is crushed using a tank. IS give a quote from Quran in the 2 min 34 second video, “And If You Punish [An Enemy, Oh Believers], Punish With An Equivalent Of That With Which You Were Harmed.”

The soldier said to be loyal to President Bashar al -Assad is seen speaking followed by a man dressed in white, face covered who delivers a short speech with the captive kneeling in a Guantanamo style orange jumpsuit. The soldier is seen walking barefoot as the camera cuts to an approaching tank. He is then seen with hands behind his back and possibly feet shackled as he makes small jumps towards the tank and stares at the men stood by the tank perhaps in a last act of defiance. The tanks rolls over his body with graphic shots of the aftermath.

In recent days IS also released a series of videos aimed at Israel indicating the state will also be a future target. The killing of the soldier was also eerily reminiscent of the killing of pro-Palestinian US peace activist Rachel Corrie who was run over by a bulldozer as she protested the demolition of a Palestinian home. As Electronic Intifada reported on 16th March 2003,

“Rachel Corey [sic], 23 years old from the state of Washington, was killed while she was trying to prevent Israeli army bulldozers from destroying a Palestinian home. Other foreigners who were with her said the driver of the bulldozer was aware that Rachel was there, and continued to destroy the house. Initially he dropped sand and other heavy debris on her, then the bulldozer pushed her to the ground where it proceeded to drive over her, fracturing both of her arms, legs and skull. She was transferred to hospital, where she later died. Another foreigner was also injured in the attack and has been hospitalized – at this stage his nationality is unknown.” (15 March 2003)

Did Hilary Clinton slip-up when delivering her testimony? (age AP) 

In recent days former Secretary of State Hilary Clinton has been called to account by Republicans at the House Select Committee on Benghazi hearing to give evidence regarding US involvement in Libya. As the Guardian pointed out,

“Clinton calmly navigated Republican questions on her role before and after the 2012 terrorist attack on the US consulate in Libya where four Americans were killed, including the ambassador, Chris Stevens.”

Republican Representative Mo Brooks of Alabama has expressed his desire “to impeach Hilary (a Democrat) on her first day in office if she is elected to the White House next year” as reported by Reuters  for “improperly handling classified information on her private email server while serving as secretary of state”.

Regarding Hilary’s grilling this week, Politico tweeted,

Hillary Clinton didn’t answer everything during the Benghazi testimony http://politi.co/1Mc0Q1j 

However an observant Micah Zenko (Senior Fellow, Expertise, Conflict prevention; U.S. national security policy) did spot an interesting answer from Hilary allegedly missed by most media. Her comment indicated that the reason for the military mission by NATO into Libya was somewhat different to the version originally offered to the public which was according to President Obama “to protect the Libyan people from immediate danger, and to establish a no-fly zone”… NOT regime change.

This is what Zenko picked up and posted on Twitter:

“At the eleven-hour United States House Select Committee on Benghazihearing yesterday, Sec. Hillary Clinton said something in passing that has received no attention by the committee members or the media. When asked by Rep. Peter Roskam (R-IL) about a video clip that read, “We came, we saw, he died [meaning former Libyan President Muammar al-Gaddafi]. Is that the Clinton doctrine?” Clinton replied, “No, that was an expression of relief that the military mission undertaken by NATO and our other partners had achieved its end.”

What is now totally forgotten is that regime change WAS NOT the intended military mission of the Libya intervention in March 2011. As President Barack Obama stated (atfp.co/1kyBt2i) in a speech to the nation on March 28, 2011, “The task that I assigned our forces [is] to protect the Libyan people from immediate danger, and to establish a no-fly zone,” adding explicitly, “Broadening our military mission to include regime change would be a mistake.”

If the Select Committee on Benghazi had been interested in conducting an actual oversight hearing of the Obama administration’s policy toward Libya, a committee member could have pressed Clinton to explain why U.S. objectives shifted so markedly from protecting civilians to killing Qaddafi. Or, if regime change was the intended policy objective from the very beginning, why didn’t President Obama say so to the American public? Unfortunately, such a line of questioning was not pursued yesterday, nor will it be in other committee hearings. A journalist should ask Clinton about this discrepancy, since she would be making similar speeches to the nation about America’s war aims.”

Surely then further questions need to be answered, a new committee perhaps investigating why the public were sold one thing while the endgame planned appears to have been another. Most importantly Libyans have a right to know what was the actual intention of the NATO mission as this is now looking like yet another case of US government misinformation and alleged deceit.

Despite extra security measures put in place across Pakistan to help prevent attacks during Muharram, one of the four holy months of Islam and the beginning of the Islamic New Year. A suicide bomber was able to detonate explosives at a Shia procession killing at least 25 people including five children and injuring several others on Thursday according to officials. The incident occurred during a procession to commemorate martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain (R.A)  on the Quetta Road in the Lashari Muhalla area of Jacobabad, Sindh. The following article explains,

Authorities had suspended mobile phone services in many cities across Pakistan and deployed “a heavy contingent of police and paramilitary troops” according to Samaa TV  but attackers were still able to reach their targets. Ban Ki-Moon condemned the incidents and as Dawn reported “urged the government to bring the perpetrators of the deadly attacks to justice” and “take all steps to protect its citizens belonging to both the majority and minority groups”. The Jacobabad bombing comes shortly after a suicide attack targeted Shia sect of Islam at an imambargah (shrine) on Thursday in the Goth Chalghari area of Bolan, Balochistan which claimed the lives of 10 people. Dawn reported a man wearing a burqa blew himself up and according to Balochistan Home Minister Sarfraz Bugti. “there were six children between 10 and 12 years old among the dead and that some women had also died” with the death toll likely to rise. The BBC reported, “the Sunni Muslim militant group Lashkar-e-Jhangvi had claimed Thursday’s bombing in the Bolan district Balochistan and threatened more attacks against Shia”.

A bus was also attacked prior to this in Quetta where a bomb killed at least 11 people and wounded 22 others including 5 children. A policeman told the BBC “the device was planted on the roof of the vehicle”.

Perhaps you would also have experienced the taste of an imaginary Kingdom. Imagination is the only realm where no one can halt your handiwork; whatever you desire is only at an thoughts length, whether you wish to build a kingdom, whether you wish to become a world superpower, whether you fancy Nobel medals or whether you wish to break all the Guinness World Records, there is nothing stopping you.

If building imaginary governments was previously only relegated to sweet night dreams or to the imaginations of the lazy jobless, Ghani however has now given it a real form. We are currently experiencing a wave of unprecedented imaginary governments, imaginary offices, imaginary education, imaginary armies and imaginary police forces being built in the world of realpolitik.

As many international investigative organizations begun running the Ashraf Ghani government through the litmus test over the past few months, it was concluded that many offices of this government are imaginary with no exterior matrix and application.

The American organization of SIGAR declared a few months earlier that 769 million dollars spent by the Ministry of Education have gone to imaginary ghost schools. It should be stated here that the only difference between the offices assigned by Ashraf Ghani and the imaginary Kingdoms of lethargic bums is that if they were to organize the offices of the entire planet, it would cost them squat but even though the offices assigned by Ashraf Ghani are imaginary however they devour millions of dollars, which reminds a person of the story: Adam is missing but his scent remains.

The intellect (Ashraf Ghani’s title) with his intellectual and cognitive powers has not only built imaginary schools but has also prepared huge numbers of army battalions and many subdivisions. However a few days earlier an America newspaper opened the door on this secret and wrote that the high number of security forces declared by the government is largely imaginary with no physical component to it.

The topic of thought and imagination popped to my mind today because a case in the structure of this imaginary kingdom was just cracked open after a recent development. The senator of Faryab province, Naqibullah Faiq, speaking at the Parliament declared that the reason behind the Taliban takeover of Gormach district is due to imaginary broken management.

According to Faiq, Ashraf Ghani in his fantasy had dispatched 500 fully armed and trained troops for the defense of Ghormach, with the monthly salary of each soldier paid on time however in reality there were actually less than 200 troops stationed on the ground.

The exposition of secrets of Ghormach in this imaginary kingdom raises eyebrows, perhaps many other formations in the intellect’s regime are also fantastical imaginations? Perhaps the reason why Ashraf Ghani was given the title of ‘intellect’ is due to his high cerebral thought process? Although poets encourage indulgence in imagination however it has two major defects: One is that high caliber imagination is considered the characteristics of children. You might have noticed children putting a stick between their legs and imagine it to be a Mustang horse, this shows the power of their imagination, turning simple sticks into a horses and even cars.

Another flaw of imaginary kingdoms that it cannot bear the brunt of reality. It is equated to sweet dreams or mirages experienced by stoners worldwide which can lose all taste in a split second. That why it is said:

Became a king through power of imagination

But awoke to the reality of a monk

Twenty two years ago on 24 June 1994, the Islamic Movement emerged under the leadership of late Amir ul Momineen Mullah Mohammad Omar Mujahid (May Almighty Allah bless and have mercy upon him) with the consensus and support of Islamic Scholars. The aim was to prevent massive corruption, fiefdoms and unscrupulous militias and to protect venerable Afghans from their harm, oppression and atrocities prevalent then. Later on, late esteemed founder was given the title of the Leader of the Believers in a big ceremony in Kandahar where a number of Islamic scholars gathered from different parts of the beloved country.

Many witnesses of that juncture of time are still alive who remember fighting, anarchy, plundering and tragic immoral incidents. Their hearts are still full of grief because of the tragedies seen at that time. The nefarious government of communists was toppled on 28 April 1992 but aspiration of people to establish an Islamic system was not realized still more, unity and fraternity among Muslim Afghans were at risk. All the country including the capital Kabul was entangled in an unjustified war for personal power and sway. The sacred objectives of holy Jihad were not fulfilled and hope for the obtainment of the lofty objective of one and a half million martyrs and Mujahideen turned into desperation.

Islamic Emirate obtained confidence of the Afghans in a very short period of time and folded the blanket of evil and corruption. Islamic system was established in vast area of the country; life, property and dignity of Muslims were protected due to the grace of Almighty Allah and full support of the Muslim nation. Social justice was established, cultivation and business of drugs was completely banned and a peaceful and stable atmosphere was maintained in the country.

During the second phase, Islamic Emirate waged Jihad against invading brutal forces. Enemy forces faced a crushing defeat due to the great blessings of Almighty Allah and enormous sacrifices of Mujahideen. The Jihadi caravan is reaching its destination if Almighty Allah wills and once again, our beloved country is in the phase of restoring freedom and independence. Today, the Islamic Emirate is entering into the second phase of its glorious history. The Muslim nation is eagerly awaiting the moments of the establishment of Islamic system and victories of the Muajhideen have buoyed up people’s hopes.

The glorious pages of the history of Islamic Emirate are lying before the entire nation. Everyone can take a glance at it. Mujahideen of the Islamic Emirate are famous in piety and sincerity among people. They have the honor to preserve life, property and honor of the people. They are considered as a symbol of peace, stability, chastity and honesty – a tested remedy for the elimination of corruption, plunder, evils, immorality and have good record of women’s respect. Characteristics of Islamic system are apparently evident in it if we deeply study twenty two years history of the Islamic Emirate.

As some media outlets and organizations which are financially supported and encouraged by invaders and their allies are propagating against the holy Mujahideen of Islamic Emirate by leveling false allegations and accusations are in fact openly disgracing themselves and harming their own credibility. Such kinds of fake and futile propaganda is boosting up the legitimacy and truthfulness of Islamic Emirate. The entire nation especially the honorable people of Kunduz are testifying in favor of the innocence and decency of Mujahideen. These accusations are not only an affront against the Islamic Emirate rather it is an inexcusable oppression to Afghan Mujahid and honorable nation. This is not only the victory of Kunduz, every day Mujahideen are conquering areas across different parts of the  beloved country but praise be to the Almighty Allah that no one has noticed such awful acts to blemish its glorious history. The enemy is making such fake and futile propaganda only to hide their disgraceful defeat and to distract attention of the people. Even, they know well that there is no room for immorality, indecency, robbery and plunder in the dictionary of the Islamic Emirate.

Israeli prime minister, Binyamin Netanyahu has come under severe criticism for his bizarre speech to the World Zionist Congress in Jerusalem after which his sanity came under question. In an extraordinary revision of history he claimed that Haj Amin al-Husseini head of the Palestinian grand mufti of Jerusalem during the Second World War was responsible for “inspiring the Holocaust” as opposed to Hitler and the Nazis. The Guardian reported,

“in his speech, Netanyahu purported to describe a meeting between Haj Amin al-Husseini and Hitler in November 1941. “Hitler didn’t want to exterminate the Jews at the time, he wanted to expel the Jews. And Haj Amin al-Husseini went to Hitler and said: ‘If you expel them, they’ll all come here [to Palestine].’” According to Netanyahu, Hitler then asked: “What should I do with them?” and the mufti replied: “Burn them.””

The majority view by most Holocaust scholars is that the first death camps were already underway before the 1941 meeting between Husseini and Hitler. A minority challenge that thinking. Social media was abuzz with comments on Netanyahu’s statement which ranged from derision to anger. Younes Arar, a Palestinian activist and human rights defender from Hebron, West Bank posted a satirical photo of Hitler saying, “I said glass of juice not gas the Jews”. He stated,

It must have been a field day for holocaust deniers and Ruth Flood from Ireland wondered if the Jewish PM had now become one of them. Holocaust denial is illegal in 14 European nations and some have criminalized denial of genocide. Referring to his speech, Flood said, “wouldn’t it be ironic if this was a form of holocaust denial, cos he is actually denying the reality of it”.

Haaretz quoted Zionist Union leader Isaac Herzog who stated, “this is a dangerous historical distortion and I demand Netanyahu correct it immediately as it minimizes the Holocaust, Nazism and…Hitler’s part in our people’s terrible disaster,” Abed Algader from Gaza alleged, “he wants to justify a criminal offense in front of the world, criminal who protects criminals like him. This is a country that love wars and criminality are the cause of chaos in the world. Racists, Criminals”. Haaretz also reported the words of Arab Joint List leader Ayman Odeh who said Netanyahu

“is rewriting history in order to incite against the Palestinian people. The victims of the Nazi monster, among them millions of Jews, have become cheap propaganda in the service of peace rejectionism. Netanyahu proves every day how dangerous he is for both peoples, and how far he’s willing to go to cement his rule and justify his disastrous policies.”

Senior Palestinian official Saeb Erekat was quoted in the Telegraph saying, “Netanyahu hates Palestinians so much that he is willing to absolve Hitler of the murder of 6 million Jews.”

Carlos Latuf, an Arab Brazilian freelance political cartoonist was on the ball as usual offering his depiction of Netanyahu and his comments.

Netanyahu’s comments come at a time of renewed violence where Palestinians are shot almost daily under Israeli occupation and Jews have been targeted in knife attacks. This  will only add fuel to the fire.
