Islamic Emirate: Kandahar’s Extrajudicial Killings

arrested-civilian

Post via Islamic Emirate

Kandahar is the capital of Afghanistan in terms of the disappearance and summary executions of all sorts of people including tribal elders, professionals, farmers, laborers and students. Numerous times the people of Kandahar have protested the disappearance of their family members and loved ones at the hands of security officials. As many times they have been reassured by government officials that their loved ones will be released soon. But more often than not, instead of welcoming their disappeared relatives, these people are left to find the bodies of the disappeared in a morgue or the banks of a river and in the foothills of the city outskirts.

The Human Rights Commission stated in its latest report that in the last six months, in Kandahar, 146 people have been killed in secret circumstances and 48 have been injured.

Recently the relatives of inmates in Kandahar’s main prison have complained that their imprisoned relatives have been taken away from the prison premises and until now their fate remains uncertain. Prison officials have confirmed the disappearance of these inmates and have stated that some of them were snatched off by General Razziq’s men. Some relatives confirm that after paying handsome bribes to some officials they have been told that the inmates were taken by Raziq’s men.

The officials of Kandahar’s Mirwais Hospital have also confirmed that they frequently receive the dead bodies of individuals whose killers, time of death, place of death and the circumstances surrounding their death are unspecified.

Extrajudicial killings in Kandahar is not a new phenomenon. This phenomenon of forced disappearances and summary executions has been ongoing for many years now. Hundreds of individuals from various groups and tribes have vanished and imprisoned without trial.

However, ever since the reign of Raziq as provincial police chief, such disappearances, abuses and tortures have increased manifold. Last year, in the space of a week, around 60 individuals were summarily executed in Kandahar and the surrounding areas. The deceased had no relations with the Mujahideen but were brutally killed arising from suspicion and inter-tribal hatred.

In addition from time to time people have found dozens of dead bodies dumped on the banks of Tarnak River and in the desert that betray signs of torture. In all probability these individuals have been severely tortured and then buried in mass graves or thrown into the River or the desert.

It is the morale and human duty of human rights organizations, social activists, journalists, writers and other not to remain silent in the face of the current atrocities perpetrated in Kandahar. They should use their pens and influence to give exposure to the current chain of disappearances, to condemn such brutality and call for the trial of their culprits.

Islamic Emirate: Taliban are still proud of their unity

مجاهدین-اتفاق

Post via Islamic Emirate

Following the fall of the Ottoman Empire at the hands of the barbarians of east and west, the Lord Almighty cooled the eyes of the believers with the establishment of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. The Islamic Emirate gave a glimmer of hope to the Muslims about the resurrection of a pure Islamic Caliphate. This movement physically enacted the laws of Allah in a strategic area of the Islamic world and presented the beautiful picture of Shariah to the world which in turn reawakened the Muslims from their slumber and rekindled their hopes of establishment of Shariah in the Islamic world. The establishment of an Islamic government and enforcement of Shariah law by a religious class gave hope of victory to the wayfarers struggling in the path of Haqq (truth). Clinging firmly onto all the tenets of Islam turned the wary eyes and hopes of every oppressed Muslim around the globe towards this pure Islamic movement.

The Islamic Emirate handed the Afghan nation a blue print for an Islamic system and Sharia compliant politics, blessed them with an atmosphere of peace and stability, eradicated oppression, terror, barbarity and anarchy of warlords and began healing the wounds of this tattered nation. It prevented the spread of profanity and deviancy, promoted Islamic and Afghan culture over western decadence, constructed prestigious religious institutions and enlightened the nation as well as secured its borders and cemented the status of Afghanistan as a whole independent country.

However America could never tolerate this home of the Muslims and brought down the Islamic Emirate for her imperialistic goals. All of this failed to dent the courage of the leader of this movement who – as his responsibility – launched a determined armed struggle against these transgressors and the Taliban managed to grind and crush the invading countries and once again cooled the hearts of the believers by defeating the infidels.

The chief reason behind the triumphant advance of this movement for two decades since the establishment of the Islamic Emirate is due to harmony among its leaders and unity of its ranks, a feat in which the Taliban and Muslims take immense pride.

The enemies of Islam have left no stone unturned to weaken and destroy the Emirate, from propping up auxiliaries under titles of ANA, ANP and NDS to creating projects such as Arbakis (ALP), uprisings, Marg (death) group, local councils and Daesh (ISIS). The sly enemy even tried to weaken the Taliban by exerting enormous efforts and using every means at its disposal to split the Islamic Emirate.

Following the declaration about the passing away of the late Amir ul Mumineen, Mullah Muhammad Umar Mujahid (RA), the enemy renewed these efforts. The media doubled down on its propaganda efforts and so-called analysts remarked and shared their insights. America deemed it an opportune time to activate its $400 million project set aside to create rifts among the leadership of Islamic Emirate however the swift appointment of a new leader, Amir ul Mumineen Mullah Akhtar Muhammad Mansoor (HA) and the rapid flow of pledges of allegiance from across the world baffled the enemy and shattered their venomous yearning.

After failing in splitting and dispersing the Islamic Emirate into groups, the enemy launched new efforts to take advantage of the situation of some individuals who had yet to pledge allegiance by depicting it as huge irreparable rift through intense propaganda. Even though the separation of an insignificant number of people from this huge convoy can never be termed fracture of an organization but still, the Mujahideen under a single leadership practically displayed through their victories in the east and west, north and south of the country that they are still one body and take pride in their unity. And all praise belong to Allah, most of the individuals like Mullah Muhammad Hassan Rahmani (RA) and Mullah Abdul Qayyum Zakir (HA) who initially hesitated due to some reservations – a situation even observed among our Salaf (forefathers) – later steadily began declaring their allegiances and snatched away any opportunity afforded to the enemy for exploitation.

The unity of the Islamic Emirate is a mercy from the Almighty Allah and a need of the Muslims. That is why the Islamic Emirate has tried its very best to retain its unity, neutralize enemy plots and prevent formation of new groups which in turn would degrade and disorientate the ranks, an experience gained from our previous Jihad against the soviets. The multitude of parties after the Soviet defeat resulted in a civil war, continuation of killings and war crimes over power and the prevention of establishment of an independent Islamic government due to quarreling.

In hopes of everlasting unity of the Islamic Emirate

Musa Muhajir

Islamic Emirate: The blood of the Afghan nation shall be avenged

ALBERT_AFGHANISTAN

Post via Islamic Emirate

Afghan blood has become very cheap for the foreign invaders and their internal auxiliaries who are cutting away at their throats day and night. Many families of the nation are left bereaved over the past few days in various parts of the country by the armed invaders and thugs of the Kabul regime.

Latest reports say that a US drone strike in Nawi Hada area of Gomal district in Paktika province has martyred 18 innocent civilians. All the victims belonged to Kakarhzai tribe who were travelling in 3 vehicles on their way to resolve a tribal dispute.

At the same time the police chief of Khost province, Faiz Ghairat, acknowledged that the commander of special task force (militia) set up by the foreigners – Marwat – raided a home along with his gunmen in Yalgi area of the provincial capital, targeting the family and leaving 2 women martyred as well as a man and 2 other women wounded.

The value of the Afghan blood plummeted to an all-time low following immunity granted to the invaders from every type of prosecution by the Kabul regime through signing of the security agreement. No matter how many wounds are inflicted upon the nation by the invaders, the Kabul regime has even gone so far as to snatch away their right of questioning their killers in a court of law.

However the Islamic Emirate – just as it did before – shall definitely take to task those responsible for spilling the innocent blood of the Afghan nation, be they the invaders or their lackeys. The Islamic Emirate shall show in practice that this nation is not without a custodian that her spilled blood shall remain unanswered.

The Islamic Emirate shall continue waging its legitimate struggle with the complete backing of its loving Mujahid nation. If Allah has decreed it so, the invaders shall be expelled and her hirelings punished accordingly. They should not fool themselves with their vast armory, nay the Afghan nation armed with true faith has always expelled occupiers from its motherland and restored independence.

The invaders should take heed from the past one and a half decade and understand that the true inheritors of this land are the Afghans who in turn have nurtured the Islamic Emirate in their lap. No matter how many agreements you sign, they shall never hold any value for the Afghans and shall continue to remain as mere lines jotted down on a piece of paper.

Balochistan: Baloch docs close outpatients, threaten to boycott polio campaign following alleged police brutality

Alleged attack on doctors in Quetta caught on video

Whilst doctors in the UK continue their strikes over a contested work contract which could put patients at risk, doctors in Balochistan closed down outpatients departments throughout the region over alleged police brutality.

The Young Doctors Association (YDA) took to the streets of Quetta to highlight the lack of facilities at Bolan Medical College Hospital and other government-run hospitals, non-payment of salaries and a need for more jobs. The response to the demonstration was brutal and caught on video. According to Pakistani media at least 8 medics were injured as they approached the Red Zone an area of high security as it houses official residences of governor, chief minister, chief secretary, IG and ministers. Police used teargas, carried out an aggressive baton charge and now face allegations of “torture”.

There were calls to suspend police officials after Dr Hafeez Mandokhail, President YDA told Dawn that one of his colleagues had “lost an eye after police torture” and had to be flown in a special plane from Quetta to Karachi for medical treatment. Balochistan has a poor human rights record with “enforced disappearances” and “kill and dump” used on those who speak out against the state.

Dr. Ejaz Ayub writing for In Defence of Marxism stated,

“In solidarity with the Young Doctors of Balochistan, the Young doctors Association of Punjab called for a province-wide strike of OPDs against this brutality and asked the government to immediately fulfill the demands of Young doctors in Balochistan.”

Sami Zarkoon, Convener of Civil Society Balochistan and Imdad Baloch, Deputy Convener of CSB “strongly condemned the act of police brutality against Young Doctors of Quetta and demanded action against the officers involved” according to Balochistan Express. Zarkoon said, “Government should take the demand of young doctors serious and should act on them instantly to solve the matter to ensure smooth functioning of government hospitals.”

Balochistan Home Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti tried to calm the situation with the announcement of an inquiry into the incident claiming those responsible would be brought to justice. However in a further development doctors threatened to extend their action, Hafeez Mandokhail later told Dawn, “Government has failed to meet the demands of the doctors, hence we have decided to boycott the ongoing polio campaign.” The vaccination programme is already facing long standing security problems targeted by militants after the CIA used the health initiative as cover in their targeting of Osama bin Laden, see following link,

Junior Doctors’ strike: A “toxic contract”, “kick in the nuts” and “detrimental to women” …no wonder the public are behind docs

CfXG2klXEAA-H5R

Great turn out for rally in Piccadilly Gardens in Manchester  (via Momentum Manchester)

Today Wednesday 8am, junior doctors across the UK began their 4th spell of strike action with the public firmly on their side and Jeremy Hunt, Secretary of State for Health coming under increasing criticism. Johann Malawana, British Medical Association junior doctors committee chair was quoted on the BMA website saying,

‘By pursuing its current course, the Government risks alienating a generation of doctors.

‘If it continues to ignore junior doctors’ concerns, at a time when their morale is already at rock-bottom, doctors may vote with their feet, which will clearly affect the long-term future of the NHS and the care it provides.

‘Responsibility for industrial action now lies entirely with the Government. It must start listening and resume negotiations on a properly funded junior doctors’ contract to protect the future of patient care and the NHS.’

“Junior Doctors continue their campaign against Jeremy Hunt’s unsafe and unfair contract. The aim of the government is clear, privatisation of the health service. Only united action by all health workers can stop them in their tracks”

While Hunt cycled off evading questions, the Patients Association rallied around the doctors challenging attempts to impose what Dr David Rouse called a “toxic contract” on hours and rotas with issues over pay. Doctors fear being pushed to their limits which would place profit above safety.

The Department of Health appears to be riding away from its responsibilities in terms of equality also. GP registrar Dr Marie McVeigh of Just Health that are mounting a legal challenge told GP On Line, “the DH equality assessment showed the contract was ‘detrimental to women’ it’s absolutely outrageous in the 21st century that a contract has been designed that has these problems in it.”

Jill Rubery, Professor of Comparative Employment Systems at Manchester Business School, The University of Manchester,  explores what she calls the government’s “tortured logic” in the following blog stating, “the outcome is hardly surprising; the last thing a government wants to concede is that they got it wrong” see following link,

“What are the real implications for equality in junior doctors’ new contracts?”

What are the real implications for equality in junior doctors’ new contracts?

Jacqui Berry, a nurse and campaigner was unable to join doctors on the picket line due to working a night shift but posted a video message of support to NHS colleagues on Twitter. She said, “Junior Doctors continue their campaign against Jeremy Hunt’s unsafe and unfair contract. The aim of the government is clear, privatisation of the health service. Only united action by all health workers can stop them in their tracks.”

Although doctors were on strike, they were far from idle. Medics took time to educate the public on basic life saving skills, some donated blood while colleagues in other parts of the country signed up to the Anthony Nolan bone marrow register. The DOH called the action, “irresponsible and disproportionate” claiming that with almost 25,ooo operations cancelled so far patients were suffering. However the public tooted their horns to encourage the strikers and sent messages of support via social media. The staff of Green Wing a British sitcom set in the fictional East Hampton Hospital turned up at Northwick Park to show their solidarity.
