URUZGAN, Apr. 04 – Officials from Dehrawod district say that heavy clashes have been taking place against enemy forces in Murchi area which arrived several days earlier to reopen the main road which has been cut-off by Mujahideen.
The fighting in which heavy and light weapons were used lasted till 02:00 am local time today during which 20 hirelings were killed and 15 wounded as well as 4 US machine guns, 8 US rifles, 3 RPG launchers and a sizable amount of other equipment seized.
The cowardly enemy fled the area after sustaining the above losses, reports say adding that 2 Mujahideen were also injured in the battle.
