Hospital staff showing where a patient’s relative was shot

Dr Basel Abuwarda a doctor from Gaza, human rights activist and trainer, who founded the Save Gaza Project that aims to help the people of Gaza and Palestine posted a series of disturbing tweets today alleging the killing of Abdullah al-Shalaldeh (age 27) by Israeli soldiers. Al-Shalaldeh’s relative, Azzam al-Shalaldeh a patient was then “kidnapped” according to Abuwarda who posted both images and what appeared to be CCTV footage (embedded on Twitter) to back up his claims. The incident which was confirmed by the Palestinian Ministry of Health occurred within the grounds of the al-Ahli hospital, Hebron in the West Bank and was carried out by an elite undercover Israeli military force. Yahoo News stated,

“Abdullah al-Shalaldeh was killed by five rounds fired early Thursday after 21 members of the elite unit – known as Mustaarabin – barged into the hospital room of his cousin, Azzam al-Shalaldeh, a ministry statement said.

The commandos wanted to question Azzam – who required surgery after earlier being shot by Israeli security forces – and his cousin tried to prevent them from doing so when the Israelis opened fire.

Following the killing of Abdullah, the Israeli force arrested Azzam who was recovering at the hospital.”

Dr Basel Abuwarda (known as Dr Basel on Twitter) posted tweets as follows,

20 Israeli soldiers sneaked into a HOSPITAL pretending to be Arabs and then murdered a man & kidnapped a patient

End of Dr Basel’s tweets.

The CCTV footage dated 12th November 2015, from the early hours of the morning around 3am local time shows a group of armed men surrounding a man in a wheelchair who is then removed from the ward, part of the footage can be viewed on the following link,

Younes Arar, a Palestinian human rights defender, Activist for Palestine and Free Palestine posted additional photos to Facebook stating,

“they have broke all international and humanitarian laws,
Today at 3:00 am, 21 terrorist Zionist occupation undercover force along with a woman who looked pregnant raided Ahli Hospital in Hebron, sneaked to the Surgery Department and stormed the room of the Palestinian Azzam Shalaldah who was shot few weeks ago by Zionist fascist soldiers, they handcuffed his brother Bilal to the bed, meanwhile their cousin Abdulla was in the bathroom, once he went out of the bathroom they opened fire at him, executed him, a bullet behind his ear, another in the chest and two in his hands, Abdulla died on the spot, then they kidnapped Azzam Shalalda whose critically wounded, 12 November 2015.”

Reuters TV quoted Bilal who described the shooting of Abdullah as follows,

“as soon they entered the room, they tied me to the bed,”….”Abdullah was inside the bathroom and wanted to wash for prayer. As he was exiting the bathroom, one of the undercover men shouted at him to stop and they opened fire.”

“He remained on the ground bleeding and they hit my brother on his head and took him away.”

The questions remain why was al-Shalaldeh not simply arrested if he was wanted for questioning? Did he put up any resistance? Could he not have been contained any other way? Why was he killed outright in an operation where health workers and patients claimed to be threatened themselves? Staff who were clearly shocked were then left to deal with the aftermath, a man bleeding to death in what some allege was an “extra-judicial killing”. Bullet holes are visible on the body and the wall.

Demonstrators take to the streets of Kabul to protest at beheadings of Hazara

CTgpE1FWUAA2sLb

Murdered hostages were captured by a month ago and were held in Arghandab district of Zabul, Afghanistan according to Salaha Soadat, journalist who posted image

Thousands of demonstrators marched through the rain in west Kabul descending on the presidential palace carrying the coffins of 7 decapitated Shiite Hazaras. Those killed included four men, two women and a nine-year-old girl.

Shahabudin Azizim, a bio-medical science student tweeted,

Tell me; When you put the knife on her throat, was her daddy watching? Was she shouting for help? Earth indeed a dark place

Hezamuddin tweeted

We are neither Tajik, nor Hazara, Pashtun or Uzbak, we are all Afghans and human. We are standing with humanity.

Some protesters were in angry mood wanting to blame militants and calling for “death to Taliban and Daesh.” Others tweeted, “if you don’t speak out, you will be next”. The bodies were discovered in the southern province of Zabul. It is unclear who carried out the murders, there were concerns that Uzbeks were implicated however BBC reported, the deputy head of the breakaway faction denied any involvement in a phone call. There has been no claim of responsibility to date.

Salaha Soadat a reporter for Tolo tweeted

The 7 with razor wire & their bodies were discovered by handed them over to local elders

According to local media, eight people were injured as shots were fired when some protesters attempted to climb the gates of the palace. Demonstrators demanded accountability as to why there was little protections for Hazara community often subjected to kidnappings.

Ehsanullah Amiri, a Wall Street Journal reporter based in Kabul tweeted

Spokesman to Asif Ashna has resigned from his position in protest to government’s failure & negligence.

Finally, president to address the nation soon on state tv.

He later tweeted,

President hugs a member of victim families of Zabul beheading.

United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) condemned the killings saying they may amount to alleged “war crimes”. Nicholas Haysom, the Secretary-General’s Special Representative for Afghanistan and head of UNAMA stated,”these senseless murders may amount to war crimes and the perpetrators must be held accountable.”

There were other concerns regarding killing of civilians raised on social media by Islamic Emirate affiliate, Abdulqahar Balkhi. Details of Taliban statements can be read on the following link,

Afghanistan: Human Rights groups must investigate alleged targeting of civilians and use of chemical weapons?

Image.aspx_

Abdulqahar Balkhi, an English speaking Twitter account affiliated with Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan raised the alarm recently regarding targeting of civilians in Kunduz. He tweeted,

Savagery of hireling troops in Imam Sahib district (), phone call by local to Pashto TV

“90 civilians martyred over past 13 days of fighting, deliberate targeting of women, children, young, old by commando forces”

“11 women martyred between late afternoon hours & dusk time” Local distressed & call on world to help…

(The word the word “hireling” is often used to refer to troops supported by US). This was later followed up by a detailed post in which the following was stated,

“after the stooge forces of Kabul regime faced a humiliating defeat at the hands of Mujahideen in Kunduz, they begun a brutal genocidal campaign in an effort to retake the provincial city and surrounding districts.

The other day the enemy forces shelled homes of locals with heavy artillery in Zar Kamar and Shahrawan areas of Imam Sahib district, destroying civilians compounds that were packed with innocent women and children, leaving tens of martyrs in its wake, destroying civilian property and causing intense sufferings.

They have launched similar savagery in Kunduz province’s Dashti Archi district where the homes of locals are deliberately targeted and innocent civilians mostly women and children are martyred at the orders of General Murad Ali Murad.”

“Remarks of spokesman of Islamic Emirate concerning the brutalities of Kabul regime in Kunduz”

https://activist1.wordpress.com/2015/11/10/remarks-of-spokesman-of-islamic-emirate-concerning-the-brutalities-of-kabul-regime-in-kunduz/

The question must be asked, what is being done by international human rights groups in the region to check out these allegations? This is especially important given that there are already allegations of war crimes related to the US bombing of the Medecins Sans Frontier (MSF) hospital in Kunduz with staff now calling for an independent and transparent investigation.

See following,

“Kunduz hospital had complained of threats from Afghan Special Forces in July, a full and independent investigation is essential”

https://activist1.wordpress.com/2015/10/04/kunduz-hospital-had-complained-of-threats-from-afghan-special-forces-in-july-a-full-and-independent-investigation-into-bombing-is-essential/

It seems western media is very quick to jump regarding any allegations against Taliban especially “gang-rape” allegations (repeatedly denied) but not so hot on the uptake if any rights violations are related to US and allies. Take the recent New York Times article for example which runs a correction for misleading the public re Kunduz.

Correction: October 14, 2015

“An earlier version of this article misidentified the holiday during which the Taliban invaded Kunduz. It is Eid al-Adha, not Eid al-Fitr. The earlier version also referred incorrectly to reports alleging rapes of women by the Taliban that were broadcast on two Afghan TV stations, Tolo TV and One TV. Tolo TV broadcast allegations that women were raped in the Kunduz University dormitory, and One TV broadcast reports of rapes in the women’s prison; it is not the case that both stations reported on the alleged rapes in both locations.”

See following link,

If the author Alissa Johannsen Rubin had done a little more research she would have come across the following which I highlighted in an earlier article,

“Bashir Ahmad Gwakh, an Afghan journalist pointed out that the Higher Education Minister, (Dr Farida Mohmand) stated that, ‘Tolo’s baseless report about rape in Kunduz university hostel has caused serious damage to female education and because of this girls are scared to return to university.’”

Islamic Emirate publish a monthly report of alleged war crimes by US and allies. They recently highlighted a case in August as follows,

“on the 8th of August of the ongoing year (2015) US forces accompanied by Commander Abdul Razziq, the head of border police forces and the current police chief of Kandahar, carried out a raid on Saman Karez village in Sarlat area of Shorabak district.

The American invading forces brutally targeted the home of Haji Abdul Ali Aka with the initiation of the operation, martyring 13 family members on the spot while injuring 2 women and 5 children before detaining and taking them to an undisclosed location.”

Human rights must not be selective. No one should assume because an insurgent group brings attention to alleged rights violations that this is an invalid claim. If rights organization take this attitude, their work will not be taken seriously and could influence how they are perceived on the ground and effectiveness during day to day working within conflict zones.

Afghanistan: Islamic Emirate tweets highlight ongoing conflict with Islamic State (Wilayat Khorasan)

imgres

The following tweets were issued today 11th November 2015 by Abdulqahar Balkhi account affiliated with Islamic Emirate and highlight the ongoing conflict between Islamic Emirate and Islamic State (Wilayat Khorasan) in Afghanistan referred to as Deash (meaning Daesh, correct spelling)

IS first emerged in Afghanistan/Pakistan in 2014. A number of Taliban defected to Wilayat Khorasan. Since then there have been ongoing, clashes, claims and counter-claims with IS alleging Taliban are connected to state and security services indicating Pakistan, denied strongly by Islamic Emirate. In turn, Islamic Emirate have highlighted alleged abuses against civilians with IS alleging some are working as spies, denied by Islamic Emirate. See following article for background information,

“Are IS gaining a foothold in AfPak?”

Islamic Emirate tweets read as follows:-

Statement by IEA on Deash fitna in #Zabul

Important points coming up in next tweets

1. Repeated conciliation efforts of IEA rebuffed by Deash elements, counter claims that Taliban are Apostates and Bughat from Khilafa

2. Deash elements kidnapped civilians & used women as concubines, trying to inflame dangerous sectarian/ethnic war

3 After final conciliation effort, op. by Mujahidin ended within 24 hours with minor number of fatalities as most Deash elements surrendered

4. Wealthy civilians from Ghazni/Nangarhar/other provinces kidnapped by Deash elements have been freed and no fighting in area anymore

Remarks of spokesman of Islamic Emirate concerning the brutalities of Kabul regime in Kunduz

1-flag

After the stooge forces of Kabul regime faced a humiliating defeat at the hands of Mujahideen in Kunduz, they begun a brutal genocidal campaign in an effort to retake the provincial city and surrounding districts.

They have launched similar savagery in Kunduz province’s Dashti Archi district where the homes of locals are deliberately targeted and innocent civilians mostly women and children are martyred at the orders of General Murad Ali Murad.

The Islamic Emirate strongly condemns the savagery of Kabul regime which has caused human and material losses to the civilians and calls on its nation that Allah willing, we shall soon be delivered from the savagery of these criminals and thousands of Mujahideen have prepared to sacrifice themselves in order to rescue the people.

The Islamic Emirate also draws the attention of Human Right organizations towards this savagery and seriously asks them to take a solid stance against this savagery in which civilians are implicitly targeted. Do not mysteriously tolerate and encourage these criminals to continue their savagery with your inaction.

The Islamic Emirate similarly asks the free independent media that in light of their journalistic responsibility they should give due coverage to this incident so that our nationals and the international audience become aware of it and take actions to prevent its recurrence.

Islamic Emirate: Statement by Commission for Military Affairs Department for Prevention for Civilian Casualties regarding use of chemical weapons and indiscriminate civilian casualties caused by enemy in Shorabak

1-flag

Post via Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan

On the 8th of August of the ongoing year (2015) US forces accompanied by Commander Abdul Razziq, the head of border police forces and the current police chief of Kandahar, carried out a raid on Saman Karez village in Sarlat area of Shorabak district.

The American invading forces brutally targeted the home of Haji Abdul Ali Aka with the initiation of the operation, martyring 13 family members on the spot while injuring 2 women and 5 children before detaining and taking them to an undisclosed location.

The villagers, hearing about the raid and attack of the American invaders and militias of General Razziq, began fleeing their homes towards the nearby mountains. The civilians most of whom were women, children and the elderly and in spite of the fact that the savage enemy saw that most were women and children, they brutally targeted them with helicopters and martyred 21. The names and details of the innocent civilians are as follow:

Hafizullah with 5 family members: Hafizullah himself, his two sons (Nasibullah and Attaullah), his wife, daughter-in-law and brother-in-law.

3 family members of Haji Muhammad Gul Aka : His wife, daughter and son, Bashir.

Din Muhammad with 5 family members: Din Muhammad himself, his 2 sons, daughter-in-law and 2 grand children while another grand child was injured.

Muhammad Naeem.

The son of Abdul Ghani who is currently serving jail term in Kandahar.

The son of Naimatullah.

The son of Dost Muhammad.

The daughter of Sahib Khan.

Muhammad Tahir along with his son.

On top of the above mentioned human losses, the locals also sustained heavy material losses as well; their vehicles were burnt, their money was stolen while 3 other innocent civilians were also detained.

On this same day the enemy forces used a chemical gas during their operation in Sarlat region’s Rod area and also poured acid on the bodies of some martyrs.

The Islamic Emirate strongly condemns this act of the cowardly enemy and considers it a clear sign of their weakness due to their inability of facing the Mujahideen and targeting defenseless civilians to avenge their defeat.

We call upon all independent human right organizations and its active members to raise their voice and condemn this huge violation by the Americans and their internal support forces so that all human right conventions and charters are applied uniformly.

Wilayat Khorasan (Islamic State in Afghanistan, Pakistan region) have released a new 16 minute video entitled “Battle of the Good Opening” Which follows on from still images released earlier showing attacks on the Afghan army. Parts of the video appears to correspond with information from September 30th 2015 which details 3 attacks on barracks in Adal Khel (Asheen- Nangarhar) see following link,

Stills from Wilayat Khorasan video

The video in Pashto starts off with a group of militants video at a masjid where they are praying before launching attack. Later, a hilltop checkpoint comes under what appears to be a night time rocket attack. IS militants are then seen in a dawn raid overrunning the post. There are a number of uniformed and bloodied bodies on the ground, one headless. Several small fires burn within the compound including on charpoys (string beds). IS fighters are seen carrying away their war booty and some are viewed at prayer.

IS fighters make several points, saying that the things said about them are all lies. They criticise Pakistan and Afghan militia and curse them saying that they are one and Torkham Border is discussed. IS say they have raised war against those who do not accept Khilafa (Caliphate) and Khilafa has come and now it should be accepted. IS fighter claims he and his group are not Pakistani supported, not funded or aided by ISI (Inter-Services Intelligence)

The video footage and recent photographs posted by IS are in sharp contrast to a strange statement which appeared in Dawn media (Pakistan). Firstly the article highlighted the capture of an alleged IS “recruiter” from the Badaber area of Peshawar by police, stating

“the suspect arrested, Dadullah, belongs to Afghanistan, and was recruiting for an international militant organisation,” said SSP Operation Mian Saeed”

but surprisingly went on to state,

“disgruntled former Taliban commanders have formed the so-called Khorasan chapter — an umbrella IS group covering Afghanistan, Pakistan, India and other South Asian countries — in recent months but have not been involved in any fighting.”

Recent “graduation” of IS recruits

This is a rather odd remark given that IS have released regular statements detailing their attacks and also photos of militants “graduating” from a training facility in Waziristan named after deceased Tehreek-e-Taliban (TTP) leader Hakimullah Mehsud. Either the journalist has not done his research or material is being blocked and he is not allowed to report due to restrictions from PEMRA (Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority). See following link,

“Afghanistan, Pakistan: Further images emerge of Wilyat Khorasan graduates in the name of the Hakimullah Mehsud training centre”

There is also a recent photo release showing the spoils of war, see below,

“Wilayat Khorasan post images, alleged spoils of war from attack on army barracks, Lachin, Nangarhar”

The video comes at a time of increased fighting between Taliban groups those loyal to Mullah Mansour and those following Mullah Rasool and also between Taliban and IS. There are also allegations and counter allegations regarding the fate of civilians. Yahoo News reported,

“‘the Daesh insurgents abducted seven innocent civilians (Hazara ethnic group) from Ghazni province one month ago and beheaded them Saturday night in Arghandab district of Zabul province. Their dead bodies have been carried to Shah Joi district hospital,’ southern Zabul province police chief Mir Wais Noorzai told Xinhua news agency.”

Pajhwok stated,

“Provincial police chief Asadullah Kakar said the Taliban hanged the Uzbek fighters (allegedly part of IS) for beheading seven civilians from Jaghori district of Ghazni province.” (see “Links” section for more details)

Some media reported the deaths of 2 children, one alleged to be a 9 year old girl but this could not be independently verified.

A recent attack in Karachi appears to be linked to IS. An account associated with the group tweeted,

1 Ansar brother of The Islamic State Khurasan carried out attack on Rawafiz and there GOD “HORSE” which is named “Zuljinah” in karachi

2* 1 Rafzi killed and 2 injured, he shouted out Takbeer ALLAhu Akbar, mujahid named Little Zarqavi who carried out attack today

Racist Britain: Shocked Wandsworth resident warned “black men coming”

putney_high_street-e1358334239516

A warning in Wandsworth!

A shocked resident of the Borough of Wandsworth, Putney, South West London posted a message on social media today showing racism in Britain is alive and kicking. The lady whom I refer to as “K” in case of retaliation stated the following,

“Truly flabbergasted…..the council are installing a new air filter system in my block of flats and the foreman came this morning to check my vents, I need new ones, which will be fitted Thursday morning. He then informs me it will be two young BLACK men coming…….I replied and……

He then told me he had to tell me they were BLACK because quite a few people have refused them admittance, I mean what the ……..

We live in London, one of the most diverse cities in the world and people like this should take themselves off to some all-white island in the outer limits of the universe and carry on with their dumb retarded ideals……..

I love the diversity of my city, the rest of you can just go and put your head where the sun don´t shine.”

End

It is disturbing to hear such a story in this day and age and such racism should be outed and never tolerated!

Islamic Emirate: The Multi-headed Kabul Administration Devoid of any Specific Policy on Peace

1-flag

(Post via Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan)

Currently, the Kabul Administration is completely divided about peace. Almost every day, they publish contradictory news regarding peace process. From one room, a voice says that our doors are open for peace but from another it is heard that many mistakes have been made in the peace process, so it needs revision. The third circle reiterates that peace is completely irrational approach and a forth circle states that we are ready for peace with those who surrender and lay down their weapons! Similarly, many other figures are also awaiting an appropriate time to express their views!! It is as clear as broad day light that the invaders and their stooges do not want peace rather they see peace through the spectacles of their overt and covert ambitions. They have perplexing and deviant definition of peace.

Before 2010, Hamid Karzai started a scheme on the behest of the invaders under the name of peace and publicized it during the London Conference on 28 January 2010. Exclusive fund was approved for the peace process and afterwards, a meeting was organized under the name of advisory council for peace in Kabul on 2 June 2010. On its recommendation, the so called High Peace Council was established on 10 October 2010 and 200 million dollars were given at their disposal to help in the peace process.

Invaders were following their own ambitions behind these deceiving measures. Their first objective was to give morale to their nations, troops and stooges that the fighting was turning into peace, so remain steadfast. The Second objective was to divide and create differences among the Mujahideen of the Islamic Emirate. Their aim was to deceive one group by offering money to them and to splinter another group by giving ministries and high slots in the government. So, in this way the rank and file of Mujahideen will be weakened and the remaining Mujahideen will surrender because of their incapability. Their third goal was that the Afghan nation will blame the Islamic Emirate for the prolongation of the war and a national uprising will be emerged against them. Hence Mujahideen will have to surrender under the name of peace!

The entire Muslim Afghan nation, particularly the Islamic Emirate has waged the sacred Jihad for the obtainment of some lofty goals. Whenever our brave nation has plunged into the battlefields of Jihad then they have not been convinced except by independence of the country and implementation of national and Islamic sovereignty. This is the reason that all efforts of enemies have been foiled in different periods of our history and their hopes turned into frustration.

As always, the Islamic Emirate once again shows willingness for peace. We want peace which is good for our people and the country. We think the end of occupation and complete withdrawal of foreign troops is essential for peace. Full independence and establishment of an Islamic government is the demand of the Afghan nation, others are secondary issues and resolution of those issues is not a hard task by the grace of Almighty Allah.

End
