Hospital staff showing where a patient’s relative was shot
Dr Basel Abuwarda a doctor from Gaza, human rights activist and trainer, who founded the Save Gaza Project that aims to help the people of Gaza and Palestine posted a series of disturbing tweets today alleging the killing of Abdullah al-Shalaldeh (age 27) by Israeli soldiers. Al-Shalaldeh’s relative, Azzam al-Shalaldeh a patient was then “kidnapped” according to Abuwarda who posted both images and what appeared to be CCTV footage (embedded on Twitter) to back up his claims. The incident which was confirmed by the Palestinian Ministry of Health occurred within the grounds of the al-Ahli hospital, Hebron in the West Bank and was carried out by an elite undercover Israeli military force. Yahoo News stated,
“Abdullah al-Shalaldeh was killed by five rounds fired early Thursday after 21 members of the elite unit – known as Mustaarabin – barged into the hospital room of his cousin, Azzam al-Shalaldeh, a ministry statement said.
The commandos wanted to question Azzam – who required surgery after earlier being shot by Israeli security forces – and his cousin tried to prevent them from doing so when the Israelis opened fire.
Following the killing of Abdullah, the Israeli force arrested Azzam who was recovering at the hospital.”
Dr Basel Abuwarda (known as Dr Basel on Twitter) posted tweets as follows,
20 Israeli soldiers sneaked into a HOSPITAL pretending to be Arabs and then murdered a man & kidnapped a patient
Abdallah Shaladeh SHOT DEAD IN THE HEAD by Israeli undercover soldiers inside A Hospital. He was visiting a relative
THIS VIDEO SHOWS HOW DID THEY KIDNAPPED THE INJURED PATIENT AFTER KILLING HIS RELATIVE IN FRONT OF HIM
This video also shows how did the undercover Israeli soldiers attack the medical staff as well
End of Dr Basel’s tweets.
The CCTV footage dated 12th November 2015, from the early hours of the morning around 3am local time shows a group of armed men surrounding a man in a wheelchair who is then removed from the ward, part of the footage can be viewed on the following link,

Younes Arar, a Palestinian human rights defender, Activist for Palestine and Free Palestine posted additional photos to Facebook stating,
“they have broke all international and humanitarian laws,
Today at 3:00 am, 21 terrorist Zionist occupation undercover force along with a woman who looked pregnant raided Ahli Hospital in Hebron, sneaked to the Surgery Department and stormed the room of the Palestinian Azzam Shalaldah who was shot few weeks ago by Zionist fascist soldiers, they handcuffed his brother Bilal to the bed, meanwhile their cousin Abdulla was in the bathroom, once he went out of the bathroom they opened fire at him, executed him, a bullet behind his ear, another in the chest and two in his hands, Abdulla died on the spot, then they kidnapped Azzam Shalalda whose critically wounded, 12 November 2015.”
Reuters TV quoted Bilal who described the shooting of Abdullah as follows,
“as soon they entered the room, they tied me to the bed,”….”Abdullah was inside the bathroom and wanted to wash for prayer. As he was exiting the bathroom, one of the undercover men shouted at him to stop and they opened fire.”
“He remained on the ground bleeding and they hit my brother on his head and took him away.”
The questions remain why was al-Shalaldeh not simply arrested if he was wanted for questioning? Did he put up any resistance? Could he not have been contained any other way? Why was he killed outright in an operation where health workers and patients claimed to be threatened themselves? Staff who were clearly shocked were then left to deal with the aftermath, a man bleeding to death in what some allege was an “extra-judicial killing”. Bullet holes are visible on the body and the wall.

Hamas statement
Just the day before (11th November) Hamas released a statement claiming Israel occupation forces (IOF) had kidnapped “at least 33 Palestinian citizens including four patients” at the Erez border crossing, in northern Gaza Strip, since the start of 2015 according to the Mezan Center for Human Rights, see following link,
Hospitals are becoming increasing dangerous places to work in some parts of the world. Within the last few weeks apart from this recent shooting, there have been bombings directly targeting hospitals in both Afghanistan, Kunduz and in Yemen (see links section)

Carol: If only your sympathy extended to Jews as well. The person killed barrelled out of a loo and anyknown quotient in an extraction operation will be neutralised, anywhere in the world. Had he not tried attacking IDF personnel he would not have died. The extraction took place because ‘Azzam nearly murdered an elderly Israeli. The PA, the jurisdictional authority, co-ordinated the operation with the IDF after begging off it themselves because of factional political concerns. While you showed great sympathy to the dead terrorist, as well as ‘Azzam, you showed zero for ‘Azzam’s victim. Humanity should be more important than partisan political sympathies and allegiances.
Thanks for your comment. Doesn’t seem that the person killed had any time to respond to give themselves up, he was not disabled by those involved in operation he was killed and in a hospital setting clearly very distressing for staff and patients! As for not having sympathy towards Jews, if that were the case I would not have been invited to speak at Holocaust Memorial Day or visited Auschwitz!
