“we have planned more similar attacks against the Shia community in Pakistan”

Lashkar-e-Jangvi:-

Ansarul Mujahideen:-

Another group of militants, Ansarul  Mujahideen also claimed credit for Parachinar blast. Spokesperson Abu Baseer told media persons via phone that the organisation was “very clear” about its mission, adding that “Shias are the enemies of Islam and we will continue to attack them in future. and we have done it and shown it”.

Ansar-ul-Mujahideen is a banned organization based in the Waziristan agencies. The militant organization has targeted security forces in Waziristan/Hango and Shia in Kurram in the past.

In July 2013 it conducted twin suicide attacks on the Shia community in Parachinar, killing 70 and injuring 180 more.

IS in Afghanistan/Pakistan (Wilayat Khorasan) release video, execution of man for alleged apostasy

Islamic State (IS) in Afghanistan/Pakistan (known as Wilayat Khorasan) have released a 5 minute 6 second video claiming to show a man being executed for alleged apostasy. The film is entitled, “Killing the Apostates in Revenge for the Monotheists #3” according to an article on a blog named”Sharia Unveiled”.

CWC4sGKWsAA0qHa

Captive about to be executed (Image still from video)

A man in army style fatigues is seen addressing the camera at gunpoint, he appears to have his hands tied behind his back. Behind him is a black flag. The scene moves to a vehicle on a deserted road somewhere in Afghanistan/Pakistan where the man is seen being marched along accompanied by 5 gunmen. It fits the IS formula in that a familiar Nasheed is heard and the man is walking hunched over so that he appears lower than his captors. He is then made to kneel while an IS masked militant delivers a speech. A gunman then goes down on one knee face on and level with the captive and shoots him in the chest. He is left on the road and the men depart.

The video follows on from several IS videos and photos series from the region showing training camps in AfPak and attacks such as those on the army barracks in Lachin and Nangahar (Afghanistan) and on the army of Pakistan. A graphic video was released in showing a group of men alleged to be Taliban supporters lined up on their knees, tied with explosives and blown to pieces. See following link for further details,

Islamic Emirate statement: Kabul martyrdom attack ends after 7 hours, enemy suffers losses

kabul_attack

Post via Islamic Emirate

KABUL, Dec. 12 – As many 27 foreigners belonging to US-led invading troops, 16 local puppets have suffered casualties in the overnight martyr operation aimed at the foreign guesthouse in Kabul city, the Afghan capital of, Al-Emarah News says.

As per credible source, a team of four Mujahideen, Nik Mohammad, Hameedullah, Mohibullah Wiqar, Qadir and Nasibullh, part of the martyr unit of the Islamic Emirate, equipped heavy and light stormed the guesthouse located in Shirpur district of Kabul city.

The operation began with Hameedullah Kandahari slamming his vehicle filled with explosives into the entranceway that enabled the other 3 Martyr fighters to fight their way into the complex and initiate a nightlong fight there.

All the foreign invader staying in the guesthouse are reported to have been killed, where a large number of the local security forces part of the reinforcements called in to the rescue of the invaders were also killed or wounded in the fighting.

A number of the government buildings around the guesthouse were also partially damaged and several enemy vehicles were eliminated in the operation.

A total of 27 foreign aggressors and 16 local minions have been killed and wounded in yesterday night’s operation.

The remaining three martyr attackers ran out of ammo at around predawn after having put up a nightlong fight and got their wishes by embracing martyrdom. May Allah accept them as Shuhada (martyrs)!

The enemy often brags about tightening security in Kabul and publish fabricated reports about foiling attacks however these attacks have not only demoralized the enemy forces but are a big mark of shame and humiliation upon their foreheads. The presence of Mujahideen in such a secure area and transfer of explosives laden vehicles therein clearly shows the help of Allah Almighty with the Mujahideen as well as the complete backing of the oppressed Muslim nation and at the same time it bears a message for the stooges that they shall never be able to pacify the determination of this nation with the support of foreigners.

Islamic Emirate: “Eliminating corruption a guarantor of Jihad’s existence”

Taliban fighters pray in the outskirts of the city of Kandahar, Afghanistan in this November 3, 2001 file photo. Almost five years after thousands of Taliban fighters fled Afghanistan to escape a U.S.-led invasion, Pakistan is still unable to shake off suspicions that it is allowing them to operate from its soil. REUTERS/Mian Khursheed/Files (PAKISTAN)

Taliban fighters pray in the outskirts of the city of Kandahar, Afghanistan (Reuters)

Post via Islamic Emirate

The ascetic of our time and epitome of strong-will and steadfastness, the late Amir ul Mumineen Mullah Muhammad Omar Mujahid (may Allah illuminate his grave and grant him residence among the Prophets in Jannat ul Firdaus) launched the Islamic Movement of Taliban to eliminate Fasad (corruption) which had plagued our beloved homeland and betrayed the goals of our sacred Jihad against the Soviets. This pure fight salvaged the assets of our country that remained and safeguarded the life, wealth and honor of this valiant nation.
Elimination of corrupt fragments lurking in our society is the biggest guarantor of existence and advancement of this Mujahid nation while leaving them untouched and allowing their growth is without a doubt the biggest existential threat for Jihad and the pure Mujahidin.
If on one side the Taliban are engaged in historical lopsided confrontation against the invaders and their stooge regime, on the other it must begin taking steps to maintain their own unity and stop the spread of anarchy and corruption at the hands of bandits, kidnappers and rebellious elements.
With the selection of the new Emir of Taliban, these elements propped up by the enemies of Islam found it to be an opportune time to launch a psychological and media war against the Mujahidin, falsely attributing this holy Jihad to others, slandering the new Emir with lies and sowing seeds of division and mistrust among them.
Some of these elements are past figures from the slander of whom not even the shield of this Ummah Mullah Muhammad Omar Mujahid (RA) was saved while others are bandits and kidnappers united under the banner Daesh in small pockets around the country who are directly sponsored by the intelligence agencies of Kabul, America and others, a fact which is not hidden from anybody observing this phenomenon. The same accusations levelled against the current Jihad by the Kabul regime are also echoed word for word by these same groups.
The enemy which is struggling for air from the Jihadi onslaught under the unified leadership of Taliban is looking for ways to ease this pressure by creating cleavage in the ranks of Taliban and dividing the savior movement of this nation (Taliban) into many fighting factions. The preservation of unity of ranks is not only critically important for the Taliban but it also holds crucial existential value for the Afghan nation and the entire Muslim Ummah because unity entails victory, independence, security, peace and prosperity. Allah forbid, if the this sole home (Islamic Emirate) of the oppressed miserable Afghan nation were to split and divide into many groups then the hopes of our martyrs, injured, widows, orphans and imprisoned will be betrayed and struggle for enforcement of a Shariah system lost.
Therefore just as it was a religious obligation upon the Mujahidin to combat the previous prevalent corruption so too is it a binding duty upon the new generation to follow the footsteps of the founder of the Islamic Emirate so that this oppressed Mujahid nation is safeguarded from all harm and provided with a peaceful and prosperous life.
The Taliban must immediately begin taking effective steps against Daesh gunmen, kidnappers, Arbaki militias and rebellious elements alongside combatting the occupation and its lackey forces because if this poisonous plant is left untouched than naturally it will take deep roots and its removal will become ever more challenging. It does not matter whether these people are Afghan or not but what is important to know is that their corruption is far greater because they can prove to be the biggest threat to the establishment of an Islamic system and a peaceful Afghanistan!

Pakistan: Missing persons protest in front of Parliament House highlights an ongoing problem the state is failing to address

Amina Masood Janjua once again took to the streets to highlight the ongoing issue of missing persons in Pakistan. It is now ten years since Masood her husband, a well-known educator and businessman of Rawalpindi went missing alongside his friend 25 year old Faisal Faraz, an engineer from Lahore while travelling together on a bus from Rawalpindi to Peshawar. Many persons in Pakistan were “disappeared” as part of the “War on Terror” detained without families being notified of their whereabouts or any legal representation, some were sold to the US. Many innocent families were caught up in this sweep by the state and court action and calls for accountability have had only limited success.

See video with Amina speaking,

Amina with Masood and children in happier times

On International Human Rights Day (10th December) Amina said, “nothing can deter us from struggling for our disappeared loved ones…neither cold nor rain …nor sunshine. Families of the disappeared are raising voice in heavy rains and cold in front of Parliament house..Islamabad.”

Amina now runs the Defence of Human Rights & Public Service Trust which offers support and advice to other families. As she has often explained, some are too afraid to file the important FIR (First Investigation Report) with police in case other members of their families suffer as a result. She felt it was important for them to know they need not suffer alone.

Another organization which highlights this issue, The Asian Federation Against Involuntary Disappearances (AFAD) said it,

“renews its call for the universal ratification and implementation of the International Convention on the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearances that would make States accountable to helping families of the disappeared find truth and justice, as well as protect their people from being subjected to this heinous crime. Moreover it calls on all states to recognize the competence of the UN Committee on Enforced Disappearances and enact and implement domestic laws that criminalize enforced disappearances. AFAD likewise calls on states to fully honor their commitments to the Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and the Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights.”

Amina released a statement on International Human Rights Day as follows,

Peaceful protesters are often blocked, abused and arrested by police

(Image via Amina Janjua)

Families protesting are often met with suspicion and anger by the state as Amina has discovered time and time again. She posted a photo on her Facebook saying, “while rallying towards the people’s parliament that is how the families of the disappeared whose rights are violated, are stopped and harassed by heavy contingents of police.”

Islamic Emirate: Shame is a good thing

afghanistan-media

Post via Islamic Emirate

During these past few days we observed the false rumors of media across the country and the world, from the media of the country to famous networks of the world like BBC, CNN, Voice of America and other networks spreading the news that the new leader of the Taliban – Mullah Akhtar Mohammad Mansour – was injured in an interpersonal conflict and subsequently succumbed to his injuries.

All these networks recklessly publishing these rumors before reviewing its accuracy, they presented different analyzes and debates about causes and consequences of this non-existent event.

Even more farcical is this that some government authorities and officials like Ashraf Ghani, the Chief Executive office and the ambassador of India issued official statements regarding these fictional event. Some of them even asserted that the Taliban chose Malawi Haybatullah Akhundzada as their caretaker leader following the death of Mullah Akhtar Mohammad Mansour.

The partial media and networks zealously spread this anecdote while in reality nothing of the kind had happened.

After waiting a few days meanwhile these rumors kept spreading and being parroted by the world media, the Taliban finally published an audio message of their leader Mullah Akhtar Muhammad Mansour. In this audio he denounced the incident of Sayedabad Wardak and also assured about his health and wellbeing.

In this audio message he talked about the incident of Sayedabad which occurred recently. By mentioning this recent event, he proved that this audio is recorded after rumors of his death. Mullah Akhter Muhammad Mansour said in his speech that the enemy is facing failure in the battlefield and so by such fancy claims and accusations they hope to weaken the Mujahideen.

Mullah Akhtar Muhammad Mansour’s new audio message is similar in speech, voice, and accent with his older audio messages so it leaves no room to doubt its authenticity. Mullah Akhtar Muhammad Mansour’s new audio messages proved be a powerful blow to the media leaving them wondering how they could have inflated such a baseless story out of all proportion.

Now that this audio message is a proof of Mullah Akhtar Muhammad Mansour’s wellbeing and has been published by all social media and all common people believe that he is alive, yet some media still refuse to retreat from their false accusations and have continued to insist on such baseless claims.

We don’t know what they want from these farcical publications? Do they want to change the truth with these kinds of lies? Perhaps they believe that they can kill people if they lie repeatedly about his death.

After confronting such an undeniable truth and yet insisting on their lies, we have only sentence left to tell them: Shame is a good thing.

End

“I am Kashmir” Muhammad Faysal

12341223_10208381829129177_822446894965843103_n

Muhammad Faysal (Image via the author)

The story goes to the middle of the nineteenth century in Kashmir when the central Mosque was occupied by foreign invaders. They barred the people from praying and anyone who dared was hacked to death

This Mosque has always housed the spirit of resistance, this is where that spirit took birth many centuries ago

Today, my country which has been occupied by a different invader follows the same footprints of the warlords of yore

I am being choked and gassed. I am killed. I am raped. I am abducted. I am jailed. I am abused. I am enforced disappeared. I am tortured. I am being buried in mass-graves

Most of all my identity is being bullet holed through colonialism mixed in this dirty occupation. Depriving me of my own identity is the greatest human rights violation

On today’s world human rights day, I am Kashmir. And my only crime is that I refuse to give in to the occupation and that I dream… To be free.

Autumn Srinagar (Image, Ibn Live)

Autumn leaves still fall

It’s early morning in Srinagar. It’s that time of the year when this city drapes shades of red over its cold skin. The chinar leaves are fluttering in Lal Bazar scattering around the bus stop. The sweepers are busy clearing the leaves from the roads into heaps which are lit to make ashes for Kangris. The dew drops sparkle on wild grasses that have crept out of the pavements. The sounds of Bulbuls are resonating in the air. Sparrows have become a rare breed, are plucking on the Tihar (yellow rice used for auspicious occasions) with their tiny beaks.

While walking through the tiny lanes that lead to ‘Rasool Kandur’ (Rasool the Baker), Charagh Baigh a 14 year old boy, hears a woman cursing the Autumn season,“Yem harud’an tul toas mya, dohayi tchum sadakh pyavan saaf karin, yim kul gasan tchatith thavin”(This Autumn has annoyed me, everyday I have to clean this street, these trees should be felled down).

Charagh Baigh, enters the Kandar’waan (the baker’s shop). There are too many people inside the shop, he is furious. ”Bael aas bi, osus bi shangith. Yim pophi yin gow bael izza’h”   (Why did I come? I was sleeping, the arrival of aunts is such a pain) He put his one feet inside the shop, and other outside. Sitting on the edge, he hears Afzal Gani the former guerrilla having an animated conversation with Gul Wasta who is a dedicated follower of National Conference.

Afzal: Gul wasta, talsa jaayi traav. (Gul wasta, can I take the bread before you?)

Gul: Kyazi traava’i jaayi, yi tcha myan wya’r (Why should I? It’s my turn)

Afzal: Asi ha tchi, ghari sirf trya be’atch, tuih tchiv khudayas sawaal dyon gharan 10 be’atch (We are only three in the family, by the grace of Allah you are 10 in two families)

Gul: Bi kyah karayi tath? (What shall I do?)

Rasool Kandur smiles, he knows the entertainment has started. His wife giggles while as the rest of the people inside the shop have all their ears towards the conversation. Charagh Baigh has put his head inside the Pheran (a long traditional Kashmiri cloak) to avoid the smoke.

Afzal: Tche kos wya’r gasi. Tche kar MLA’s phone, su ani gyavdaar tchot. Tche hayi, NC’as panun nafar tchuk. (What turn you want? You call the MLA, he will give you bread with Ghee. You are NC’s own man) National Conference is the Biggest Pro Indian Party in Kashmir.

Gul: Tala kar tchopi, tche hayi Dakistan gayokh. Waapas kyazi aakh. (Shut up, you went to Dakistan (abusive form of name for Pakistan) Why did you come back?

Afzal (seethes with anger) Koal’i gadaarov, jahnam taan tchuv tohi haraam. Koali Abul Sheikh’as tchuv winti Security. (You traitors, even the fire of hell is forbidden for you. Sheikh Abdullah still has security over his grave)

Gul (gets red in the face): Tameez saan kar kath. (Talk with manners)

Afzal: Dopmay’na Di mya ve’ar ( I did tell you to give me your turn)

Gul: Ma khaal mya tempar (Don’t raise my temper)

Afzal (grins): Adi tchi kyah karakh? (Oh, what will you do?)

Gul: Be barath jail’as bayi, pati nimath begaari. (I will send you to prison again, and I will make you a Begaar)

Begaar was a form of punishment given to Kashmiri Muslims during the Dogra Period, he was sent out to Mountains or other parts carrying loads. When the person got sick on the way, he was thrown from a gorge)

Afzal: Auzu billahi min-ash-shaitan-ir-rajim (I seek God’s protection from Satan, the accursed)

Gul: (Concentrating on the Rasul Kandur’s son taking out Lavasi a form of bread from the tandoor )Shaytaan tchukh paani. (You are the Satan)

Everybody is waiting for the fight to happen, Charagh Baigh is counting the number of people inside. Calculating when his turn will reach.

Afzal is seething with anger, his face has turned red. Gul Wasta turns his head towards him.

Gul: Doali Kyzi tchuk witchaan, be ha kadai atch. (Why are you staring at me? I will gouge your eyes out.)

Charagh Baigh seeing that it would atleast take an hour, jumps into the conversation

Charagh: Afzal Syab, yim’an kari Allah taalah nesto naabud (Afzal, Allah will destroy their ilk)

Gul Wasta: Nyari gobrah, tchu maaji hyund doadh. (Go away kid, drink your mother’s milk)

Charagh: Maaji pyath ma gas, be ha tchusai kal-kharaab. (Don’t talk about my mother, I am a hothead)

Gul Wasta: (Sarcastically) Awi, tche hayi tchukh, nyar gas Afzal’ni zanaan nish (Oh, you are somebody, go to Afzal’s wife)

Gul Wasta, had got the last of his bread. He was about to leave. When a slap landed on his face, he was dragged by his pheran out of the shop. Afzal couldn’t take anymore. He biffed him, while Gul Wasta’s hands were inside his Phiren. Gul Wasta took up the piece of firewood on the side of the street and banged it on Afzal’s head.

The girls that came from their tuition classes got scared and ran faster. All the people inside the shop came out. Some came to stop the fight and some just looked on for entertainment, since the power cuts had deprived them from Television.

Charagh Baigh, the smartass he was, took the bread inside. And left.

Blood was on both Afzal’s and Gul Wasta’s face. While some people were holding on to both of them, the fight broke off. As the people were leaving.

Gul Wasta: Teli tchus ni Maaji hyund nechuv, yeli ni bi Jail barath. (I am not my Mother’s son, if I didn’t put you in Jail)

Afzal Ganii: Be tchusni Jail’as khochaan. Gas kyah tchui karun. ( I am not scared of the prison, do what you want to do)

After some days of the fight, Afzal Gani was arrested in the night. He was dragged from his bed by the Police with the troops. Charagh Baigh, was beaten up on the streets. His clothes were torn apart. He was beaten black and blue. He was then detained, while his mother and father held on to the Major’s feet to let Charagh go.

Charagh Baigh came two weeks later in an Ambulance. He couldn’t walk straight. The Troops had tortured him. He was given electric shock in his private parts. They had put a chili iron-rod inside his anal cavity. His groin area was put on flames and then the flames were put off with water. He was made to sit on a pyramid like steel structure, rupturing his anal cavity further. Later he was sodomised by the Major throughout the two weeks.

Afzal Gani was killed in an encounter, a fake encounter by the troops. His mutilated body came home. His only son became an orphan, his wife turned mad. His brains were buried at the encounter site, and he came home without his head. His funeral took place midst of Pro-Azadi slogans. A memorial stone with water taps was placed in the Chowk, nearby the Rasool Kandur’s shop. His son every year on Shab-e-Baraat, puts candles on his two graves. One grave of his whole body and another for his head.

Few months later, Charagh Baigh was found hanging in his room. The only son of his aged parents.

Few years later, Gul wasta became the MLA (Member of Legislative Assembly) of the area.

The mohalla committee built a memorial stone with a tap that is frequented by the thirsty passers-by. The autumn has arrived again and its leaves still fall.

Today Thursday 10th December 2015, human rights lawyers from Reprieve launched a Drone Compensation Report regarding victims of US drone strikes at Margala, Pakistan vowing to seek justice for those affected. Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan who has long campaigned on this issue and organized an anti-drone march to Waziristan in 2012 was also present to lend support to the initiative. This was part of the 8th Sustainable Development Conference.

Imran Khan tweeted,

at Drone Compensation Launch at Margala to help do the justice for innocent victims

Drone strikes began in the region in the aftermath of 9/11 and was intended to target militants in the Tribal Areas of Pakistan denying them the right to fair judicial process. Young men barely adolescents were deemed “suspected terrorists” in a highly controversial programme where sovereignty of Pakistan was allegedly breached and strikes resulted in high numbers of civilian casualties.

Although the Ambassador of Pakistan, Zamir Akram called for a ban on drones at a UN Conference in Geneva in May 2014, former President Pervez Musharraf admitted to an earlier secret CIA drone deal with US. He stated to CNN in 2013 that he had authorised strikes, though “only on very few occasions where the target was absolutely isolated and had no chance of collateral damage”. The reality was somewhat different, Dawn media reported,

“according to the independent Britain-based Bureau of Investigative Journalism, since 2004 the CIA has carried out 421 drone strikes in northwestern Pakistan killing up to 3,989 people, as many as 965 of whom were civilians, including dozens of children.

Drone victims have had their distress made worse by the actions of the state. Kareem Khan lost his son and brother to a CIA drone strike in 2009 and had been set to travel to Europe to discuss his experiences with parliamentarians in February 2014 when he was abducted from his home by men in police uniforms. While detained, Mr Khan was allegedly interrogated, beaten and tortured. He was placed in chains and repeatedly questioned about his investigations into drone strikes, his knowledge of drone strike victims and his work advocating on their behalf. Khan was also involved in legal action against the Pakistani police over their refusal to investigate the killing of his relatives.

Dawn reported the words of another drone victim, Fahim Qureshi, 18, whose entire family was killed in a drone strike in 2009 that left him critically wounded. Qureshi denied any links to militants saying,

“there is a question in my heart, why did it happen to us? What did we do?”

This was a really good event, & as ever Imran’s contribution was immense…

PTI, Imran’s political party intend to raise the issue of compensation for drone victims in parliament.

Recently Mirza Shahzad Akbar, a lawyer for drone victims in Pakistan travelled to Japan with Nabila a young victim of a US drone strike whose grandmother was killed to meet an Atomic -bomb survivor Keiko Ogura in Hiroshima. They shared their stories in a bid to educate a wider audience and gain further international support.

Drone strikes grow ever more controversial. In November, four former US Air Force members wrote an open letter which appeared in the media highly critical of the drone programme. They stated,

“we joined the Air Force to protect American lives and to protect our Constitution. We came to the realization that the innocent civilians we were killing  only fueled the feelings of hatred that ignited terrorism and groups like ISIS, while also serving as a fundamental recruitment tool similar to Guantanamo Bay. This administration and its predecessors have built a drone program that is one of the most devastating driving forces for terrorism and destabilization around the world.”
