Islamic Emirate Has No Military Relation with Anyone

Statement via Islamic Emirate
10th May 2017
The people of the world and our  countrymen know  that the Mujahideen of the Islamic Emirate have been waging armed Jihad against occupation of America and her allies in Afghanistan for the  past one and half decade. During this period, they have had many epic-making achievements and gains and rendered enormous sacrifices. As a result of these successes and sacrifices and by the grace of the Almighty Allah, the Islamic Emirate has control and influence on more than half of the soil of Afghanistan. This is in a time that our enemy spare no effort against us but resort to overt and covert intelligence conspiracies beside military efforts. They have been trying to give distorted information and a wrong perception about us to the world. Similarly, they consider their nefarious objectives as legitimate under the futile name of terrorism and try to justify their occupation in Afghanistan on the basis of implausible reasons. To this end, they have established thousands of media centers, spreading poisonous propaganda against the Islamic Emirate day and night through their visual and audio programs.
The Islamic Emirate is compelled to clarify its policy and objectives to the regional countries and the world in its own words. It is also necessary to tell the world that what are the prevailing ground realities in Afghanistan? What we want in the country and why we want them? In general, it is in the interest of all to make right decisions about Afghanistan in light of correct information. Therefore, the relations of the Islamic Emirate with all countries including Russia are only to clarify our policy, which is our legitimate right. It never means military relations with anyone nor does Russia or any other country give us military assistance. The booty seized or would be seized from the stooge forces of the Kabul Administration and the invading troops are sufficient for us to continue our jihad for years against the invaders and their domestic allies. But, as to the invaders and the puppets’ leveling futile accusation against us, they only want to fish in troubled waters. They are intentionally trying to falsely portray as high the level of interference of other countries in the affairs of our country and to deliberately make the country a ground for other countries rivalries in order to secure their own survival and material interests. In our view, this is an anti-Afghan, oppressive and illegitimate approach of the moribund officials of the Kabul Administration and their foreign invading allies.

Islamic Emirate: The Gallant Onslaught of Operation Mansouri

Statement of Islamic Emirate

May 3rd 2017

Last Friday the Islamic Emirate launched their spring offensive against the remaining occupying forces and their internal mercenaries. The regime – according to their usual habit – dismissed the offensive as ‘mere propaganda’. Yet when the onslaught began, the enemy was unable to hold its own against the forces of freedom and independence. On the inauguration day of this offensive the Mujahideen captured large swathes of land including Badakhshan’s Zibak district centre.

Over the past six days of this Operation, Mujahideen have cleared large areas from enemy presence. We present a small sample of our success below.

On the second day of this Operation the Mujahideen attacked Gormach district’s (located in Badghis province) district center, command center and other defensive posts. They captured these areas by overwhelming the remaining scatterings of enemy presence.

The Mujahideen fought regime forces in Uruzgan’s provincial capital, causing heavy losses to the enemy including the destruction of 22 armored vehicles.

In Baghlan province’s Barki district, the Mujahideen captured a large valley and routed the enemy forces defending this redoubt.

In Kunar province the Mujahideen launched a volley of short-range missiles against enemy targets in the provincial capital targeting the provincial command center, intelligence center, provincial center and a nearby large enemy base.

Operation Mansouri differs from past operations in that the Mujahideen are focusing more on grabbing territory and establishing administrative bodies to govern them. Having captured large swathes of territories across the country during Operation Omari, the Mujahideen are now clearing these areas from the scattered enemy outposts and bringing the territories completely in their control. The aim is to establish the Islamic Emirate as the only operational government in these areas. The enemy, deprived from accessing the populace, can only penetrate these areas through aerial raids. The administrative bodies of the Islamic Emirate are now fully functional and governing the lives of its citizens.

Another aim of Operation Mansouri is to target foreign forces in order to compel them to rethink their failed strategy and therefore completely withdraw from our country. The risk of civilian casualties limits this aim yet the Mujahideen are focused on finding opportunities to cripple the central organs of the regime and their foreign supporters while minimizing civilian casualties in the process. So far several operations against foreign forces have been aborted due to the risk of civilian casualties.

The auspicious start of Operation Mansouri bodes a good-omen for the Mujahideen. Throughout the year we hope to capture more territory and inflict heavy casualties on foreigners in order to rid our country from the yoke of occupation and fulfill the political aspirations of our nation.

Contaminated Blood: The bleeding truth…open letter to Jason Evans regarding government cover -up

My late husband Pete part of the “Haemophilia Holocaust” those given infected blood products HIV/HCV often from tortured US prisoners on the NHS (photo for Newcastle media)

Jason, FYI

This is not an unsolicited e-mail it is in response to your previous emails asking questions. Feel free to show this to your solicitor as documents you refer to are from my husband’s legal case not just any old documents.

(You think this is a big cover-up… believe me… you don’t know the half!)

The documents you refer to from National Archives are NOT NEW. Government wrote to me repeatedly confirming a junior civil servant inadvertently destroyed their own. When they wrote the 2006 report they were sometimes relying on our media reports and what we released there… you couldn’t make it up! The documents formed part of my late husband’s litigation files (and documents he was NEVER shown at the time) and its very distressing to hear you say they are new when Pete and I have fought as long and hard as anyone for justice and used them wherever we could. Getting people to act on them is another matter!

Why do you think I wrote my dissertation challenging the FALSE government narrative? Again BLOCKED! Why do you think Colette and I worked with Jeff (Haemophilia Society) to persuade him to challenge govt narrative in the recent press release, Jeff didn’t have a lot of the information, Society documents were destroyed. Check this archived link explaining the dissertation.

Michael Young Prize winner 2009: Tackling the blood trade (ESRC Issue 4 2009)

https://web.archive.org/web/20101015225531/http://www.esrcsocietytoday.ac.uk:80/ESRCInfoCentre/about/CI/CP/societynow/issue4/blood_trade.aspx

These are the SAME documents now being released from the National Archives in batches. I discovered them in a solicitor’s office in 2006 and fought to preserve them. They were meant to be destroyed after 1991 but I rescued them. However the solicitor who was assisting me, said he had to notify government. When we wrote, they demanded them back. I fought to have them put in a neutral place but the solicitor said we had no choice and at that time although I approached the Haemophilia Society to intervene, they would not help me. There were many boxes. They were returned as part of a written agreement that they be released… these are the same documents released under the National Archives in batches. I was supposed to be informed with each release but they have gone back on their word… many were submitted to the Archer Inquiry as I tried to photocopy what I could in a short space of time and give them to solicitors who largely ignored the content. Some also went up to Penrose… neither Inquiry had a remit to find negligence, I testified not once but twice at Archer Inquiry and my written submission includes discovery of these documents, Penrose BLOCKED me from giving evidence and as Dan will confirm I have been furious over this and wrote about my being blocked to several people.

I went to media and return of documents is highlighted here in the Guardian and in the Newcastle Journal which has around 70 articles but only some remain online… however in my CRATES of evidence are hard copies of all. An inquiry would show exactly who we approached for help and when but we have been blocked all the way and at the time of my releasing information, many of my own community would not listen. Ask yourself why there is so little reference to my work on other sites, yet you will be shocked when you see the extent of the media we generated since 1994 which I have been trying to put in one archive.

Copies of lost ‘blood row’ papers found

https://www.theguardian.com/society/2006/may/21/health.medicineandhealth

I have no intention of being misused by media. If they want to use my husband’s litigation documents, they should bloody well listen to the background and reference how they were sourced as should any decent person!

I have recently written to government to ask why these documents are being released without reference to how they were discovered and their source which is part of the agreement. You have no idea of the efforts to get different legal firms to take these documents seriously but as Colette (Wintle) will confirm it has almost killed me in the process. Unfortunately legal representation has been dire with no less than 3 official complaints to the OSS 3 upheld and one solicitor struck off. I was writing my responses to OSS the WEEK of my husband’s funeral. My trust in people is extremely low due to my horrendous experiences over the years.

As Dan will confirm a board member of the Haemophilia Society blocked having my dissertation online even though it was awarded by the highest research body in the land in the name of a politician and the award ceremony was attended by Chris James, (Haemophilia Society) Sue Watts (Newsnight) Martin Harvey (MacFarlane Trust) and Colette… I also have a US award “for upholding truth and justice” and all the US contacts that others now have on their friends originate from me… as I have worked with these folks since the 90s and went to the US to meet many after my husband died as well as going to assist haemophiliacs in China and doing online work to assist haemophiliacs in India, Pakistan and Gaza Strip.

I did not have to do any of this, I am not a paid worker but a widow and many of our community have stayed silent over the years protecting their privacy whilst letting others take the flack for decades, costing me a lot of money as unlike other groups Haemophilia Action UK was not funded like some others. In the 90s there were only a handful of people campaigning… we campaigned alone for one year on hepatitis C arguing with the Haemophilia Society to campaign on this serious issue which they eventually took up in 1995 campaigning for a “hardship fund” while we campaigned for compensation. I have kept a document of all our campaign work over the years with dates. Much of what others use now was initiated by our group.

You also may not be aware that the 3 of the longest Standing campaigners Colette, Pete Mossman (who founded Manor House) and I were deliberately excluded from the meeting with the DOH mediator prior to the Consultation. Why … because we know too much. We objected to the Consultation in writing from day one refusing to participate and in protest at our exclusion have not signed the Haemophilia Society letter, we asked Jeff, that our objections be included but they have not been.

Over the years we have been to the GMC re testing without permission which I uncovered… BLOCKED. To the police over gross safety violations… BLOCKED by CPS… numerous firms of solicitors BLOCKED, complaints upheld. It was my husband who legally challenged the hepatitis waiver in the HIV litigation getting an opinion which was to bring about Skipton. He also went to court over Recombinant to push for safe treatment for all and was on treatment strike until his death to keep up the pressure. All of this is documented in our many media articles… which as I say you won’t find on the Timelines of other groups. It was documents sourced  by Colette Wintle and I that were the evidence from 2004 which won the JR Andrew March… “parity with Eire” was a phrase and initiative which I started in the 90s. All of this evidence will be presented at any worthwhile inquiry!

I wrote to Andy Burnham whilst he was Sec State for Health IGNORED. When he left office I wrote threatening to take him to court and he finally responded within a week… if only he had listened to me earlier when in post!

Statement of the Islamic Emirate regarding the Inauguration of the Spring Offensive ‘Operation Mansouri’

Post via Islamic Emirate

بسم الله الرحمن الرحیم

قال الله تبارک و تعالی : إنهم لهم المنصورون، وإن جندنا لهم الغالبون. الصافات (۱۷۱ – ۱۷۲(

Translation: “[That] indeed, they would be made triumphant (Mansuroon). And verily, our soldiers will be the victors.” (171-172:37)

Although over the course of the 15-year Jihad the foreign occupiers have suffered heavy casualties and a large number of the coalition have withdrawn from our lands yet under American leadership some unjust countries insist on the continued occupation of Afghanistan. They prioritize war over peace, increasing their troop numbers and dropping ever larger bombs on our territory. They employ numerous tactics and strategies in order to prolong the occupation and keep our faithful and independent nation under their vassalage. The Islamic Emirate therefore has determined that with the advantageous weather we once again launch our yearly spring offensive against the foreign forces and their internal allies named Operation Mansouri.

The fact that under the leadership of Shaheed Amir ul Mu’mineen Mullah Akhtar Muhammad Mansour the Mujahideen gained various decisive victories, annihilated highway robbers and impious people, foiled various seditions and intrigues, leaped forward in the political and social arenas, humiliated various foreign powers compelling them to leave our land, and achieve copious other proud milestones, thus we supplicate to Allah Almighty that through the martyred’s blessed name – Operation Mansouri –  He Almighty consecrate this Operation so that throughout its duration our sacred land is cleansed from the remaining foreign aggressors and other impious and corrupt elements.

With the help of Allah Almighty and the infinite sacrifices of our Mujahid nation the foreign forces have suffered a historic defeat having been forced to admit that the Mujahideen control more than half of Afghanistan. Hence, keeping the evolving situation in mind, this year’s Mansouri Operations will differ from previous ones in nature and will be conducted with a twin-tracked political and military approach.

In the political sphere:

  1. i) In those areas that have been cleansed from the enemy and under the full control of the Mujahideen, particular attention will be paid to establishing mechanisms for social justice and development so that our people can live a secure and prosperous life.

  1. ii) In cleansed districts and areas state-building will earnestly proceed and institutions will be erected to secure the social, security, and legal rights of the citizens.

iii)                 In all the conquered areas special dawah and propagation apparatus will be set up to help those deceived by the enemy see the truth of our struggle, relinquish their opposition and return back to their villages and their people.

In the military sphere:

  1. i) In those areas where the Mujahideen do not have full control, the enemy will be targeted, harassed, killed, or captured until they are compelled to abandon their few remaining posts.

  1. ii) The main focus of Operation Mansouri will be on foreign forces, their military and intelligence infrastructure and in eliminating their internal mercenary apparatus.

iii)                 These operations will involve conventional attacks, guerrilla warfare, complex martyrdom attacks, insider attacks, and use of IEDs to achieve their objectives. With the help of Allah Almighty.

  1. iv) During these operations the Mujahideen will be required to scrutinize their targets and places so as to minimize civilian casualties paying heed to the principles of necessity and proportionality.

In the spirit that the eighth of Saur has become a historic day in our annals against Warsaw Pact and the Red Army, so Operation Mansouri will also be launched on 8th Saur 1396 of the Solar Hijri calendar; corresponding with first of Sha’ban 1438 and 28th April 2017 in the Lunar Hijri and Gregorian calendars respectively; in all the nation’s provinces. They will be initiated at 5 am local time with the cries of Allah is Great, targeting the foreign forces and their bases. We request from civilians – in order to minimize collateral damage – that they avoid enemy bases and their military and intelligence personnel and to assist their Mujahideen brothers by all means possible.

Wassalam

Islamic Emirate: The anarchy surrounding the two-headed regime of Kabul

Post via Islamic Emirate

At a time when the Mujahideen have intensified their campaign against the enemy (for example the recent deadly attack against Shaheen Corps in the north killing hundreds of combatants), the regime is gripped by paralyses and anarchy. The politically and ethnically divided regime has thrown all forms of constitutional and political conventions out the window. The line of authority is devolving and blurring with each passing day. Cabinet members openly contradict and oppose government policies and directives. Each group blames the others for the ongoing chaos.

The so-called President (Ashraf Ghani) is openly mocked and challenged by the Chief Executive (Abdullah Abdullah). Parliament members openly oppose the Executive branch and consider it illegitimate. The Executive contemptuously disregards Parliament and refuses to recognize its legislative authority. General Dostum and Atta Noor proudly throw insults at each other in the media. Ahmad Zia Massoud refuses to accept Ghani’s directive removing him from his post. Each party is developing parallel links with foreign powers to strengthen their hold on power.

First the ongoing disputes between Ghani and Abdullah became an open secret before eventually spilling onto the media. Then the scandal between Dostum and Aeschi reared its head. After Dostum refused to relinquish the post of Deputy-President despite Ghani’s insistence, Ghani tried to form an alliance with Dostum’s archrival – Atta Noor. Noor who belongs to Abdullah and Zia Massoud’s Jameeat party pounced at this opportunity and was willing to risk a public break with Abdullah in exchange for the post of Deputy-President. However when Ghani announced the removal of Zia Massoud from the post of special advisor to the President, the Jameeat cadet once again closed ranks and accused Ghani of abusing his powers.

Prior to this debacle the Parliament in Kabul had declared the government of Ghani as illegal yet Ghani continued to ignore the declarations of his Parliament. The tumult of the regime is not limited to individuals but crisscrosses in policy matters as well. Ghani has signed several secret pacts with various governments and refuses to divulge their contents. The Chief Executive openly contradicts official policy be his willingness to recognize the Durrand line as the official border of Afghanistan.

The confusion and anarchy governing the regime was best illustrated after the U.S. dropped the ten-ton MOAB bomb in Nangarhar province. While Ghani publicly welcomed this war crime. On the other hand his ambassador to Pakistan and close advisor – Omar Zakhilwal – declared it a crime. Similarly while Abdullah praised this use of over-proportionate power yet his close advisor – Daud Asaas – declared the move as unacceptable.

This foreign-serving regime is daily gripped by scandals and the law of the strong prevails in the capital. At a time when the Mujahideen are daily gaining territory the regime is become dangerously close to fragmenting and violently turning on each other. Each strongman is busy building his private army and considers Ghani as a mere figurehead. In such anarchy days are becoming years and one is left to wonder just how long this rotten building starts crumbling on itself.

Statement of Islamic Emirate regarding the martyrdom of Baghlan province’s governor – Maulawi Lal Muhammad Muhammadi

Post via Islamic Emirate

In the name of Allah the Most Merciful the Most Beneficent

Five days ago the foreign occupiers – along with regime soldiers and spies – raided an area in Baghlan’s Dand Ghori district. The Mujahideen engaged the raiders, killing several soldiers. The raiders then called for airstrikes on the Mujahideen martyring five of them including the Islamic Emirate’s governor for Baghlan province – Maulawi Lal Muhammad Muhammadi. To Allah Almighty we belong and to Him we return.

Sacrifice and strife in the path of Islam is a main pillar of the Islamic Emirate’s path. We firmly believe and hold dear to the statement of Allah Almighty : ۞ فوَمَن يُقَاتِلْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَيُقْتَلْ أَوْ يَغْلِبْ فَسَوْفَ نُؤْتِيهِ أَجْرًا عَظِيمًا (Al Nisaa’ 74)

Translation: To him who fighteth in the cause of Allah – whether he is slain or gets victory – Soon shall We give him a reward of great (value).

This statement of Allah Almighty shows us that a Mujahid gains no matter the outcome. Whether he is killed or emerges victorious, in both circumstances he will gain a great reward as promised by his Lord Almighty.

The martyrdom of our leaders has always surged our campaign even further. When our leaders are killed, Allah Almighty has replaced them with others who have dutifully held onto the ideals of our martyred leaders and striven even harder in their campaigns. Thus no matter how many of our leaders have been martyred our campaign has only emerged stronger and more victorious. Every passing day swells our ranks and brings us greater glory.

Therefore our enemies should not celebrate the martyrdom of our leaders for they themselves can see that such martyrdom only further unites our leaders and swells our ranks. Insha Allah.

We offer our deepest condolences to the families and friends of Maulawi Lal Muhammad and his other martyred compatriots. To the families, friends and the Mujahideen of Baghlan we offer our heart-felt condolences on this loss. We beseech Allah Almighty to grant their martyrs the highest of ranks and for their families, relatives and friends we ask for patience and a great reward from our Lord Almighty.

Islamic Emirate: The duties and responsibilities of Shaheen Corps (Balkh attack)

Post via Islamic Emirate

Two days ago the self-sacrificing soldiers of Islamic Emirate attacked Shaheen 209 Corps. Utilizing complex planning and novel tactics the Mujahideen managed to breach all of the Corps’ defensive measures and reached the most sensitive points of their base.

The Shaheen Corps is comprised of over 30,000 regime soldiers but ten Mujahideen were able to battle them out for over 8 hours and killed and injured hundreds of these American-trained soldiers and special forces. This Corps is the main army corps in northern Afghanistan and many of the regime’s brutalities in the North are carried out by this Corps.

This army corps carried out the majority of the regime’s operations in Balkh, Konduz, Takhar and Baghlan provinces. This Corps utilized brutal tactics in their operations often destroying civilian houses, arresting hundreds of countless civilians, killing women and children and generally instilling hatred and fear in the civilians. Information also suggests that this Corps played a role in the martyrdom of Konduz’ and Baghlan’s governors (Mullah Salam Akhund and Maulawi Lal Muhammad respectively). It was for these reasons that the Islamic Emirate gave its soldiers the green light to attack this loathed Corps.

This complex attack on the Shaheen Corps was intended as a deterrent from further violations of civilians by regime soldiers. Similarly this attack was a reminder to the regime soldiers that they should not needlessly sacrifice their lives for foreign occupiers and either join the ranks of the Mujahideen or else desert ranks and go back to their homes.

The soldiers of this foreign-serving regime should know that their army was set up by the Americans to fight this war on their behalf. The soldiers are trained by Americans, equipped with their weapons, and their wages paid by the Pentagon. Then how can they envisage that they fight for their homeland and not for their foreign cashiers?

No matter how many such soldiers the Americans arm and equip they will invariably face defeat in the battle field. The attack on Shaheen Corps is a clear example where ten Mujahideen faced off an army of over 30,000 regime soldiers and killed hundreds of them. Having faced such a humiliating defeat the regime tried to justify their failure by claiming that the infiltrators attacked the soldiers while they were offering Friday prayers. Audio conversations and recordings of the infiltrators during the attack clearly show that the Mujahideen attacked the Corps half an hour prior to Friday prayers while the regime soldiers were busy eating their lunch.

No matter how the regime tries to paint this attack or twist the circumstances of this humiliating defeat, foreign observers should see this as clear proof that their trained and equipped soldiers can never defeat the Mujahideen since one fights for American dollars while the other fights to liberate his land from repression. No matter how many more soldiers are trained and equipped, the end result of this sacred campaign will be the imminent liberation of our land from foreign colonization.

Islamic Emirate: Why International Community is Silent about the Tragedy of Pol-e-Charkhi Prison?

Post via Islamic Emirate
21st April 2017
Thousands of miserable prisoners in Pol-e-Charkhi prison are on hunger strike from past few days because of brutality and oppression continuing against them. The disclosure was made public when a message from the prisoners was published in media two days ago as hundreds of prisoners among hunger strikers have sewed their lips by threads and wires. There are reports that some prisoners are facing life risk because of hunger strike.
The miserable prisoners have raised their oppressed voice in past as well but instead to give positive response to their legitimate demands, the invaders and the Kabul Administration have resorted to further brutal and inhuman conduct against them. Even, those prisoners whose detention period has already been completed are still kept in detention contrary to all human values.
Moreover, one should not expect from invaders and the puppet Administration implementation of law and justice because they are not committed to any human and Islamic law or principles. From day one, when invaders have came to Afghanistan and installed a puppet regime in Kabul, they have committed tens of thousands of inhuman crimes which is an open secret to the entire world as broad day light.
The finger of criticism could be pointed to those international, regional and domestic organizations, societies and NGOs who claim to be defenders and protectors of human rights and fighting against anti-human atrocities because they obtain money and assistance by the name of these oppressed people and have devoted their life to defend these blessed slogans.
If someone read the message of Pol-e-Charkhi prisoners published in media, it contains plausible, rational and legitimate demands from the beginning to the end. None of the demand is contrary to law and rationale.
The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan strongly demands the international, regional and domestic foundations, societies and organizations working for human rights especially for the rights of prisoners to fulfill their responsibility and obligation. They should come forward for the assistance of these miserable people. Furthermore, they should put pressure on the invaders and the puppet Administration through different channels to compel them to respect human rights and put an end to their oppression and brutality against miserable prisoners. Otherwise, if urgent measures are not taken, it would create a human tragedy. In that case all concerned sides would be equally responsible in this historical disgrace along with invaders and their surrogates and the stigma of disgrace would remain on their face because of this human tragedy.

Islamic Emirate: Trump and the War in Afghanistan

Post via Islamic Emirate

April 17th 2017

Contrary to the Kabul regime’s wishes, Trump’s National Security Advisor – McMaster – did not make any specific promises in assisting the regime beyond the worn out phrases of defeating the ‘Taliban through the regime forces’. The White House’s ambivalence has caused much headache in Kabul. The regime fears that should foreign troops withdraw from the country, the Mujahideen – who are already knocking at the doors of Kabul – will overrun all the major cities and enter Kabul proper.

The Ashraf Ghani regime tried many ploys to attract Trump’s attention towards Afghanistan. First they argued that various foreign terrorists groups had made a foothold in Afghanistan. Then they became more specific by arguing that Al Qaeda was reemerging in Afghanistan. When that also failed, they argued that Daesh had emerged and was making gains. In its latest tact the regime has tried to use the allure of Afghanistan’s vast natural resources to wed Trump financially to the regime.

The Trump administration should not escape from the ground realities or ignore past lessons. The resistance to foreign occupation is not limited to a ‘few terrorist groups’. They should understand that the resistance fighting them is a grass-root movement supported by a large majority of the nation. They should not adopt the regime’s language by referring to them as ‘terrorists’ or ‘proxies of foreign powers’.

The fact that the resistance has survived, morphed and thrived over the past decade and a half despite the lack of military, political or economic assistance of any foreign power should be ample evidence to support the hypothesis that the Taliban is a home-grown grass-root movement supported by a major portion of the country. Even Kabul administration’s former top officials such as Hamid Karzai admit that the Taliban are a known homegrown movement with well-established ties to the local populace.

While Obama despised the failed regime of Kabul, he was drawn to its defense due to past campaign promises of a victory in Afghanistan. His very political survival was linked to the survival of the corrupt Kabul regime. Trump on the other hand has not such strategic prerogative. He understands that the American people are fatigued by this long-drawn stalemate and see no hope of a mid-term victory. They are happy to abandon the regime to its own devices and instead focus on more acute problems closer to home. The Trump administration should embody their people’s spirit and stop supporting a ‘losing horse’. They should save their blood and tears for a more important day and a more important conflict. The longer this conflict drags the more long-term its consequences on America’s psyche. This unwinnable war is only dampening America’s appetite for military adventures and could placate the U.S. so much that we might see unwise appeasements of foes far more dangerous and potent than the Taliban.
