(English translation of statement sent to media)
“In the name of Allah the most Merciful and Beneficent. Today, on 20th January 2016 an attack took place at Bacha Khan University in Charsadda. Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan condemns this non Islamic act in the most forceful way and disassociates with this completely. Remember that Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, Mujahadeen-e-Pakistan and Jihad Pakistan is a responsible and great Jihad organisation whose objective is for the enforcement of Shariah of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and for the Muslims of Pakistan and provides shelter to the deprived Muslims. Youth who are studying in non military institutions we consider them as builders of the future nation and we consider their safety and protection our duty. Therefore, in this non Islamic action those people who are using the name of Tehreek-e-Taliban, the Tehreek-e-Taliban’s Sharia court will bring them to court and try them accordingly. Therefore we would like to say once again that Tehreek-e-Taliban’s all central units and central Amir Respected Fazlullah Khorasani Hafiz Ullah are not associated with this action and announce complete disassociation with this.”
