HELMAND, Jan. 08 – Officials reporting from Sangin district say that the valiant Mujahideen of Islamic Emirate launched an assault on those areas where hireling troops were airdropped a while back.
The attack in which heavy and light weapons were used resulted in Mujahideen overrunning the district administration center, police HQ and the rest of the occupied buildings.
Reports say that 32 combined enemy troops were killed and wounded in the operation while 3 APCs, 3 sedan vehicles, 3 logistic trucks, a pickup truck and a container packed with arms were destroyed as well as a sizable amount of other equipment seized.
Currently the administration buildings, police HQ building, the entire district bazaar is under the control of Mujahideen and the enemy only has presence inside a besieged outpost located at the outer edges of the district center.
