“Picture me free”
Picture me walking straight outta sanctuary
Resurrected from a 7 year political mortuary
Emotional rollercoaster but never defeated
Bad times fading away until they’re all deleted
I’m stronger now with lazer beams in my eyes
Face to face I can see through any clown’s disguise
I’m all about peace and love but I remain connected
Friends in high and low places and well respected
Think of all the lives that war criminals neglected
I survived Iraq and I survived critics that disrespected
Canadian conservative hate, yeah I survived that too
Picture me paying my son a surprise visit at his school
Bush wanted me to die for his lies but I’m no fool
Used me like a pawn and turned me into a deadly tool
I been through HELL and I been ready for some peace
Picture this sanctuary situation about to soon cease

Check out my 2013 interview with Rodney Watson (War Resister in Sanctuary) a former US soldier who has been living in a church in Canada for several years rather than return to Iraq, a war in which he no longer believed.
“Meet Rodney Watson Jr who refused to return to Iraq to fight a war based on lies”
