HELMAND, Feb. 28 – Mujahideen of Islamic Emirate in Sangin district launched coordinated attacks on 2 strategic enemy check posts located in the desert of Kangyano Manda area at around 10:30 pm last night.

The attack in which heavy and light weapons lasted for about 2 hours in which both the posts were overrun, 11 gunmen killed with 4 corpses left behind and the rest forced to flee with losses.

Mujahideen also seized 3 US machine guns and 9 US rifles with combined 20000 rounds, 2 mortar tubes, 200 RPG rounds and a sizable amount of other equipment from the check posts.

All praise is due to Allah alone, no Mujahideen were harmed in the operation.
