HELMAND, Feb. 17 – Officials reporting from Musa Kala district say that 2 strategic enemy check posts located in Gorjat area of Landi Nawa region came under coordinated attacks on Monday night.
The attack in which heavy and light weapons were used resulted in 7 hirelings killed and wounded.
The cowardly enemy fearing more attacks fled last night and abandoned their positions, leaving behind an APC and other equipment which was seized by the Mujahideen.
The fleeing enemy was targeted with an IED, destroying an APC as well as killing and wounding all gunmen inside, officials say adding that 2 more blasts also struck the dismounted enemy, killing and wounding 6 more.
A large area fell under the control of Mujahideen with the running away of the enemy.
