“I will strongly defend my sharia-based stance on every front”
Esteemed Amir ul-Momineen
Message of felicitation of the esteemed Amir ul Momineen on the occasion of Eid ul Fitr of the current year was warmly welcomed by the Afghan people and widely reflected in media outlets at local and international level. Different circles have expressed their opinions about it. It portrayed an image of courage, sagacity and compassion of a kind-hearted Muslim leader to the world.
In addition to the message of felicitation to his people regarding Eid ul Fitr and the recent great victories, the esteemed Amir ul Momineen once again assured and emphasized as saying: “I will strongly defend my sharia-based stance on every front”. As he put it, not abiding by the lofty stance of Islam and ignoring the rules of Shariah is forbidden (Haram) in Islam. Like previous messages, he considers the independence of the beloved country and establishment of an Islamic system as the legitimate and rightful objectives of the struggle.
The esteemed Amir ul Momineen (may Allah protect him) has explained to his great and brave nation the cause of the holy and legitimate struggle. The message has touched on both political and military aspects of the sacred Jihad to elucidate it to the Muslim nation in unambiguous words. The message also draws their attention to the conspiracies, schemes and deceptions of enemy.
The esteemed Amir ul Momineen has mentioned reasons behind the duty of the sacred Jihad. He also pointed to the ruling of Islamic scholars against invaders fourteen years ago on the basis of the teachings of Holy Quran that sacred Jihad against them is an individual obligation. Therefore as the occupation still continues, so does the validity of sacred Jihad against it. The esteemed leader says: “In the light of this religious ruling, Jihad is as obligatory today as it was in the beginning of foreign occupation because our Muslim homeland (Afghanistan) is still under occupation and both its land and air space is controlled by the invaders”
Amir ul Momineen (may Allah protect him) has also discussed political activities for the obtainment of Jihadic achievements and considers it as a legitimate mean for the obtainment of greater objectives. He considers the life of the Holy Prophet of Allah, the Almighty and the Great Leader of Mujahideen, Mohammad (peace be upon him) as a touching-stone of his sacred struggle. Mentioning military and political activities of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him), he concludes: “The objective behind our political endeavors as well as contacts and interactions with countries of the world and our own Afghans is to bring an end to the occupation and to establish an independent Islamic system in our country. It is our legitimate right to utilize all legal pathways”,
The esteemed leader, due to his sagacity and God gifted insight, acknowledges the importance of political activities. That is why he established the Political Office for further effectiveness of political momentum and it carries out its activities in light of direct instructions and orders of the esteemed leader. Some internal and external circles are trying to create externations among our oppressed people regarding the political activities of the Islamic Emirate. Thus, on the bases of their futile propaganda, they want to create hurdles in the way of true peace. These selfish activities have drawn the attention of Amir ul Momineen (may Allah, the Almighty protect him) and mentioned it in his message as saying: “We have established a ‘Political Office’ for political affairs, entrusted with the responsibility of monitoring and conducting all political activities”. Through the above mentioned sentence, on one hand the sagacious leader has thwarted and eliminated all overt and covert conspiracies which interrupt the process of durable peace and on the other hand, has kept the political office open as the only reliable and exclusive contact address for peace.
