Martyr attack strikes Jalalabad, over 16 killed, 30 injured

NANGARHAR,  June 1 – A martyr attack, latest in the series “Operation Azm”, struck police headquarters in the center of Jalalabad city, the provincial capital of Nangarhar province yesterday night, killing move 16 puppets.

A four-man team of martyr unit of the Islamic Emirate, Momin Khan and Irfanullah hailing from Nangarhar, Muhammad Aslam from Logar and Obaidullah from Ghazni province conducted a successful operation at approximately 11:00 p.m. last night, and targeted the police headquarters and counterterrorism department where a meeting between local and foreign invaders was gonging on.

First, Momin, detonated  his explosive-laden car at the gate of the police headquarter to begin the attack, and the other 3 martyr attackers armed with heavy and small arms then forced their way into the compound and to launch an overnight operation inside installation.

The three martyr attackers then engaged in bloody firefight with the enemy that went on till early morning hours of the day.

As many as 16 including police, employees of intelligence agency  and counterterrorism department in addition to the foreign invaders having a meeting in the counterterrorism department during attack were killed and a more than 30 others got wounded in the nightlong operation.

The operation ended after all four Mujahideen laid down their life battling a deadly fight with the enemy throughout the night.  May Allah accept them as Shuhada (martyrs)!
